hi i am banani...i need held.completed my engineering in cs this year..xth-84,XIIth-82..b.e-68..but couldnot join job due to some personal reason...so currently bekar..i want to do mba as technology is not my passion ...and now joined time for 2013 cat...gave dis years xam without ny coaching,with little bit of preparation by my own and i screwd up..so now i want to know will it a problem if there will be one year gap between my graduation and when i will clear any management exam??? bdw iam guwahati assam and here job openings doesnot take place ,so should i move somwhere and start for job or should i continue my preparation?
@ajaygovindg : thanks for your advise. I am really serious about doing MBA because it's hard for me to stay where I am right now. They really suck the blood out of you and I think the amount of hard work I am putting here in office which dosen't even is rewarded, should be put in preparing MBA but the only thing that concerns me is acads. Although now that I have decided there is no turning back and I am also not fearing of my past acads, just that it would matter at the time of getting calls from institutes I guess. Right ?
@rahulgupta2811 Yes, as of now forget that and focus on prep. There are institutes like MDI, IIFT, NITIE etc. which gives more weightage to respective entrance exam score. So worst case, you still have some top 20 B-Schools in your target list! :)

@madhura3290 you need to give IBPS exam for bank PO,clerk,specialist officer,etc.
these exams are conducted by IBPS once in a year.
It depends upon you which level is good enough for you. If you want to be an officer then clerk exam is of no use to you. If you want to enter as an IT officer in bank then appear for specialist officer exam.
According to your IBPS exam score you'll be recruited in one of the 19 public sector banks
SBI conducts its separate exam for PO,clerk,etc.

@banani13 Yes, you may want to think of moving to some location where you can look for job prospects and also prepare for CAT 2013. I would not recommend sitting idle and just preparing for CAT and other entrance exams. Keep yourself occupied with some small job also which will again add to your profile, as you'll have more than 1 year work exp by the time you get admissions sometime in April/May 2014!!

@_Anamika_ initially it seems, that only top 15 bschools stdnts excel, or get great oppurtunities and great job profile, but after 5 yrs, its up to u, n your hard work, which can make or break ur career, to be honest, no body is going to ask u ur college name after 5 yrs...
