MICA is the bschool that you are looking for, undoubtedly the best in media and communication in India. You can also go for SIMC, a decent college worth applying as a back up.

Hello Friends ... My name is Rahul && "NEED SUGGESTIONS"


I gave CAT 2012 but it wasn't great and I know It's not gonna yield me any good college this year. Thus heading towards CAT 2013. But Deep down one biggest concern that always worries me is my academic background.

My 10th, 12th, & B.Tech %'s are 78, 76, 67 and now two years of work Ex in IT Industry (Accenture Bangalore). I want to know whether with these figures in my hand, should I really think of IIM's. Apart from IIM's which are the other top B-Schools that I can think with above academic background.

Inputs are greatly appreciated.

You can ask in the thread or message them personally to get the TISS NET 2013 format and answer to any other query you may have.

@rahulgupta2811 Your acads are not so horribly bad. You MAY get calls from some IIMs. But as of now I would suggest, if you're serious about doing MBA, then forget about past acads. If you're not sure about MBA read through http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/why-mba-25025178/835856 to understand if MBA is really what you want!!

Past acads cannot be changed now, can it be? So forget the past (acads and CAT 2012) and focus on present, which is a good CAT score that you can achieve with some dedicated prep and hard work. Before looking at next CAT first see if you can perform decently in other exams like XAT, NMAT, CMAT etc. Otherwise continue working in current job and start systematic prep for CAT 2013. You may still want to apply to 1-2 institutes using CAT 2012 score to get an experience of GD PI stage.

Friends, this is DC from Kolkata. Corporate Lawyer by profession since the last 5 years and working with India's one of the oldest and premier law firms. I aspire to be a management consultant and therefore I am aiming to join MBA (full time - 2 years) at any of the premier management studies institutions within the next three years. @saikatha hi......actually I have to be in Delhi for a next couple of years.....FMS is a way higher for me, as I know my caliber......plus the fee structure of DMS-IIT is very affordable for me as I wont be asking my parents to shell out more money on me.......and I am just a fresher working with HCL these dayz......
