See, I know my chances of getting into a top-ranked B-school are very low, at least this year. As for the CAT, you're right. There's no guarantee of where you'll end up on the given day. I wasn't trying to say that I'm sure to get a 99%ile in CAT. I should've worded myself better. What I meant was that usually I score around 95-100 marks in my CL mocks. Now, I've noticed that the guys who score 120+ are the ones getting >99%ile. And I know I can make up that 20-30 marks differential. It's not that my quant is weak, it's just that I need to get to the point where this stuff is at the back of my hand, the tip of my tongue. And that comes from practice and hard work, as you said. It might be too late to get to that point, but I still have to try and I'm hoping these boards will give me at least somewhat of a boost :)

@Abhishek0211 See you won't be bad in all the topics of Quant. You must be great at some topics, identify them. Taking my personal example I was strong in Time & Work, Time & Distance & a couple more. During the last few days I only practiced these topics so that I must not loose any marks in my strong topics. Weak topics can't be improved now as I guess its too late. So just stick to your strengths & give your best shot. Don't judge yourself based on the marks scored in mocks. These sometimes are misleading. All The Best.
@goelzz Hey i just red the conversation between u and abhishek0211. My problem is that i am not able to concentrate at all..i sit to study but i just don't get anything i study..but if i don't study i feel scared..i don't know wat to do at the last moment..i am done with everything...but at the last moment concentration is the key..and which i don't want to loose as this will kill my performance in CAT..I should have booked the test earlier but i booked it on 2nd november...wat to do...plz help...wat should be the approach in the last month...plz help :() !!
@Alric You have to identify the time of the day when you remember the stuff you study. In my case it is early morning. As far as concentration problem goes it seems your mind is full of all kind of stuff. Even you know that at this moment concentrating on studies is the only way to succeed. For this prepare a time table for yourself & stick to it. You will see a marked improvement. Booking the slot early or late doesn't make a lot of difference. Its your approach to particular task at hand that matters. So Don't worry about that, just identify your strengths & give your best shot. All The Best.

@jntuk You have great acads till now. Hope u'll maintain them in your graduation also. See MBA is all about practicality of various stuff i.e how u can apply the knowledge you gained till date when faced with that situation in reality..
Post MBA you can go for a job depending on the placement you got or go for your own venture because most of the B-Schools these days are offering Deferred Placements for budding entrepreneurs wherein a time limit of 2 years is given. If your venture is not successful you can come back to the Institute for placements.
