Just wanted to introduce myself... I'm a desi living in Jamaica and I'm a business undergraduate from the University of the West indies.
I've been managing my family's business for over a year now and have applied to do my MBA in Canada and US.
Although I would like to settle in Canada, the programme offered to me was McMaster's Full Time MBA Program for Sept 2012. There was a mixup with my app and by the time they sorted it out my first choice (the Co-op) was full.
I am so confused as to if I should accept this offer or re-apply for co-op for Jan 2013.
Any thoughts? It would really help me out. Thanks guys and great to meet u all!

My name is madhuri Das. i have done my mechanical engg. i got 60.50% in hsc and 77.46%in ssc. i had 2 drops in my engineering carrer. Now i want to make amends for it by getting admission in iim. is it possible?right now i am looking after my dads business. he has an ETP WATER TREATMENT PLANT. i gave cet this time and got 68 percentile. this time i am planning to join a class and give cat. if i score above 95 is ther any chance of me getting into any of the iims considering my academic background. as i dont want to do mba from any college for namesake.i want to do it from either iim or spjain or ne of the top 10 college..
Acads: 10th- 82%, Inter- 76% & Btech in mechanical- 68%.
Presently i am working with Larsen & Toubro ECC, work experience till date is almost 2 years & we deal with on site jobs, project management. I am interested in taking cat. Will it be good with 3 years of experience to do MBA via cat cos i wish to work for more 1 year. Pl suggest

3 years of work ex will be good.But,start preparing from now on as you are working and will be getting less time for studies.So utilize all the time that you have.And if you can,do appear in CAT/XAT atleast.You will get a feel of the exam,what it is all about and all

I would like to introduce myself as Mr.Sunil Varma( (24 M). I completed by B.tech from JNT university, Hyderabad with a decent score of 62% & I have a Master's degree in Construction Management from University of New Mexico, USA. In addition to this I have 1.5 years exp in US and 10 months exp in India with a reputed Construction Company. I had to return back to India due to unavailability of Jobs in the construction industry
. I am planning to make a career shift into finance & my aim is to get into Ivy league schools. I would like to know whether a good GMAT score would guarantee admission in Ivy league schools based on my profile. Also please kindly rate my profile:).
