i might well make it to sibm this year. However, i hv never attended any coachings. should i keep working and give cat another shot or join SIBM if i get selected???????

That's good. You first need to decide on location where you would like to study. Then what cost you could afford or funds you could mobilize. If you get admission in IIMs, XLRI, SP jain etc is fine. Otherwise there are many in next layer. If you want to study in Pune I can guide.
Hi Everyone, I am working as a VnV Engineer in an IT firm having around 7 months of experience till date. Looking forward to join MBA coarse in 2013. I love preparing for MBA Entrances. Solving the brainstorms etc. But I am still not sure why I want to do MBA. Hope I find out a reason to do MBA on PaGalGuy!:
I would suggest you work for two to three years and then do MBA or PGDM full time. Alternatively you could pursue distance learning. MBA after 7 months is as good as MBA as fresher. It has limited value addition.
Hi Deepak.. Thanks for suggestion.. but I dont want to join MBA now.. I want to joi in 2013 after july or in 2014...
2014 would be better. The good reasons for MBA or PGDM are
1. You would be able to fetch better salary at middle and higher level.
2. Eventually you need to progress from engineer to manager / leader.
3. As you grow how you get the work from team member matters more than your direct contribution.
4. At higher end of the ladder not having management post graduation could be handicap. You can be good without MBA but unfortunately people in business don't believe it. Unless of course you are Dhirubhai Ambani or Bill Gates!!
