Hi Guys
This is Kedar. I just finished doing my Electrical engineering from VIT. I am working with ITC Limited in their tobacco division and life has only been about tobacco and cigarettes since then ! 😉 Its been "so-so" so far. Not really enjoying it. I have my heart set for MICA ! Planning on quitting my job and taking a drop for CAT. This would be my first attempt at CAT, anyone who can share any gyaan about getting started, books for prep and coaching classes to join (in pune) most welcome ! Still finding myself around pagalguy - looks like a great site with LOADS of info !

I am a software engineer with 2+ years of workex. I worked with a US based IT consultency in Gurgaon for a Chicago based hedge fund. Currently, I am working with one of the largest asset management firm as an Analyst (Risk analytics/IT).
I have been working in the capital markets domain from start (part of middle/back office teams) and I am planning to appear for May 2012 FRM part 1 exam.
Currently, my focus is on clearing FRM part 1 (May 2012) and I landed up here (PG) hoping that I will get some usefull tips and advice from fellow mates who are planning or already cleared the exam.
I would appreciate anything valuable that would be usefull in my preparatin for FRM (study materials, coaching institutes etc). Also, I would be more than happy to share my insights based on my experience and work area.

hi rajesh firstly, u should know why u want a mba degree bcause scenario today is different than 5-10 years back pursue ur mba frm top b-school is what u should be aiming for.secondly,cat requires consistent remember "consistent" study u can join any coaching classes for guidence(time,byju,ims) would be a better option.good luck
