addrija Saysit has been put up on the CL & T.I.M.E website that the CAT paper was quite identical to the last few proc-mocks (or aimcat in case of T.I.M.E).....can anyone who has given cat tell whether dis is true or just another boastful claim to attract students???? plz reply puys.... :-(
No. (I'm a TIME student.) The AIMCATs had some Rocket-Science questions in this session.
But in the real CAT, they check only the basic conceptual knowledge.
But they have tools to check your depth of knowledge.
Overall, it looks like all questions were easier than AIMCATs in the initial overview. But while attempting those questions, they ask for more time than usual and hence the pressure gets piled up.
In short, the AIMCATs may have familiarize us to take questions under such extreme pressure.
But the level of difficulty and familiarity to the questions were different.
No Newton-Science questions...
Brush up your basics.
Stick to your strategy.
Don't get stuck-up in a single question.
Wish you all the best...
How many answer options per each question?
And what about negative marking scheme? Is it mentioned at the beginning of the test??
Someone pls reply.
Thank You :)
4 options per question.
3 marks per right answer.
-1 marks per wrong answer.
pls tell what was the QA-DI break up and VA-LR break up? was DI/LR questions continuous(like 21-30) or Random 😞 ?
QA - 21
DI - 9 (DI questions were not given in sequence. I mean, 7,8,9,16,17,18,25,26,27 were the DI questions.)
LR-9 (2+3+3+1) - sequencial order - same as DI.
Guys here is the link for Day 3 discussion..!!
yup bro.....section 1 was simulation of AIMCATs particularly in Quant....
but for DI, LR, ENG it was same as MAT,,,,,!!!
just concentrate on ur basics and stick to ur attempting-strategy...
given at AHMEDABAD, LJ institute...attempts are 14+26
2) Your last mock score?
3) How was your experience of the test?
actually it was a real surprise for me as i got on the same PC on which i had given MAT-Sept11....lols...overall it was a smooth experience and guys plz dnt panic....
4) What was the surprise element for you?
5) Any tips to handle the computer based exam better?
just make sure that mouse is working smoothly....nd make enough space on the desktop for calculations as where i had given there was only 1ft x 1/2 ft....not enough for me...so i put the key-board up-side down besides the pc....
6) Your overall analysis of the exam. Toughness, new topics, sections etc.
i cant analyze the test but i can say atleast that, the first section was a mere simulation of AIMCATs nd the second section was same as MAT pattern, puys, get a hint here...just brush-up ur basics and stick to your attempting-strategy....dats all,,
7) Any other query or something you would like to share.
the query of HIGHLIGHTING TEXT is already solved by some of puys...
BEST of LUCK guys.....BELL the CAT....!!!
rishabh766 Sayshow to use the multiple highlighting tool?? plz explain
when you will give cat you will understand...
it's just highlight it in yellow the part you have selected ...
to remove highlight double click on segment you have highlighted...
it's very useful in rc's..
do u get a count on the number of attempts on the top right of the sreen, like CL tests and unlike time tests ?
