i did my bba frm ymca, degree frm PTU...completed it in 2010...now m wrking as an operations coordinator fr past 6 months..
m here at PG to knw more abt mba's..as of nw, m planning to go fr executive mba frm abroad...vl start preparing fr GMAT frm nxt mnth...bt i stil dnt hve ne idea abt vich university to go for..as i hve exp of only 6 mnths nw, m planning to wrk fr 2 more years and den go fr executve mba....m here at PG to explore more abt executve mba...hope PG vl help, fingers crossed
Hi there . I read ur post . But there is a problem . 2 and a half years of experience is too less for an executive mba from abroad . Most of the good colleges ask for loads of varying experience mostly above 5 years for the executive mba candidates . SP Jain GMBA is one where the work Ex needed is just 2 years . ISB and GLIM Chennai as well may accept 2 yrs . Apart from that , no good college in foreign allows ex MBA with 2 years of experience. But u can apply for the normal MBA programs with 2-3 years of work ex. Cheers

PUYS temme one thing, how really the acads matter to get the call from IIM(A,B,C). I am concerned cos i have poor one.... Class X: 84.8(Karnataka Board) Class XII: 78.00(-do-) Engineering : EEE : 74.89( VTU) Do i have any chance of getting call from A,B,C if i score 99+%ile???

Hi frnd . U dont have bad acads bro . They r pretty decent . Ll come under average category . I have seen ppl who have marks in 60's making it to A,B,C . So if u can manage a good percentile , u can surely get a call . And then the rest depends on ur interview , gd and profile .

The criteria of IIMs change every year.If they remain the same like last year,then you would get IIMC call,if not others.But make sure you have balanced sectionals,as IIMs do see it.
hey!.. This is sudarshan from Pune. i'm a Third Year Computer Engineering student from Pune University and have been interested in entrepreneurial activities since grade 8th. Just about to register a company of my own. Though i've always been interested in management studies, i don't really know what i'd like to do after my graduation- work full fledged with my start-up or keep it on the side-burner for a bit and do my MBA. I am almost a blank slate with regards to CAT/GMAT preparation, etc. Would be grateful if someone could provide a little guidance. Though i'm about average at maths, my English is decent. I am a recipient of an English scholarship from St. Vincent's Pune, have been actively involved in the debating circuits and was the debate head of the college 'English Club' in addition to being the co-editor of the annual college magazine. I have been told colleges abroad usually require about 2 years work-ex for their MBA programs. i do not want to work in a 9 to 5 drab job after my engineering so am curious about my chances abroad considering that. Would also like some advice on whether i should join a coaching center and if yes, which one (in Pune) .Thanks! Regards, sudarshan

It deepends on ur expectations from the college . What are u expecting from the college ?? But i would really suggest if possible prepare for entrances for an year and try for a better college .
