I am currrently emplyd in an IT company...2 odd years expe..have got admission in IFMR for the year 2011-13...I wish to do finance as my major in the 2nd year...UG-BE,EEE...no clue about finance...plz suggest me as hw I can step into finance...temme some gud books related to finance...

Hi pmannadiar,

Good that you have a focus, realy heartening. But I have a question for you:
If you want to do MBA in HR, why not aim at XLRI (that is the best in Asia to do HR) or TISS (2nd best in the country for doing HR)?

Heres my introduction..

Education: CBSE 10th:87% 12th 80% , Mechanical Engineering at a decent university in England

Work Ex Background: 18 months working in research and consultancy as a project manager of a knowledge transfer project between a university in England and a small engineering company

Current Occupation: Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate ( read part researcher, part consultant, part Project Manager complete dogs body)
Why on PG? seems to have the best info on CAT and other exams and of course the fantastic community!!
Specifically looking for what on PG? How to go about cracking CAT..starting with the basics!!
Aim for next one year? Return to beloved Delhi and find a job. Then start preparing for CAT 2012.

12th 82%
Graduation. 62% 😞 (wasted 4 yaers arrrgghhh)
I belong to OBC category..
how much percntile i should get to get calls from any iims (koi b chalega..iam desperate)
I will be trying to crack cat in 2012 (year of doom :P)

But my friends told me to convert a call for IIM you have to have 90% in your 10th nd 12th
Well i got 70% nly

Nd my graduation % is 65%
Can nbdy guide me wat to do???

I am Balaram Mishra.
I have done BTECH in Electronics and i am currently a TL in Infosys with around 6 years work ex.
As to why i am here -I have decided to crack GMAT with a 740 + and to get assistance in preparation for the same from people who have cracked it or are working towards it.
Specifically looking for what - i am just about to start my preparation for GMAT so wanted to get tips from people as to how and what i need to get my hands on.

I am Shishir, a final Year Engineering student looking for a good B-school. I have attempted all the management entrance tests for admission to the session 2011-12 in one of the top 50 B-schools of our country. My scores are as follows:-
CAT 2010 - 81.73%ile
MAT December - 94.8%ile
MHCET - 82.5%ile
So... I am here to look for some useful words of wisdom from the Experts.
please guide me...
