I got to hear about this forum from a friend of mine and I thought of getting registered here.
The reason being...am an MBA aspirant and going with a single focus of breaking the GMAT to get into ISB.
Now, as I have stated my reason for being here, I would like to introduce myself.
I am from Hyderbad and have completed my BTech in EEE (2000-04). I have been with an IT MNC from 2004 Sept and am still sticking with the same comp. And, my exp includes 5 yrs in US.
Now, as I see the world, I realize that having an MBA is important for 3 reasons.
1. Of course for the knowledge that we gain.
2. To have it as a back up, when you need to get back to the professional world.
3. To be an entrepreneur. I belive that a MBA from a reputed college would surely demand respect from others.
Okies, now putting up my hobies...
I love spending time with friends....we play poker, foosball almost every day. out door games include cricket, volleyball.

I'm Chaitanya from Bangalore.... Though i'v been a member of PG since a few months, I now realize that its time I've to start pullin my socks up.... n PG is way too awesome... So here .... I'm makin my first move...
I'm persuin 4th year B.Pharmacy from one of the very reputed colleges in India. Through my course of study and experience, i've found that continuing in my field of pharmacy is going to land me no where considering the pay pharma cos offer me after my M.Pharm if i wished to stay back in India. I would need a hell lot of work experience if i had to flourish in my field.
So I've considered all the options available to me after my B.Pharm n found that MBA, only from a extremely reputed college is what I needed to live the way I wished and dreamt of.
Pharmaceuticals has been my passion and I still say that it continues to be. I wish to pursue my higher studies doing MBA so that i can pave an all new avenue and be the Head of a Pharma Co. n continue to fulfill the dreams of not just me but also the people who have relied on me.
I aim to get into any of the top 20 institutes offering MBA by giving CAT n few related exams in late 2011. I will try continuing to improve myself and PG,,, u've shown me the way.... Thank You n letz rock...!!!

I am about to complete my MBA is Business Sustainability from TERI University and has already been selected for final placement in the area of Energy Analytics.
From few of the posts related to TERI University, I could understand that there is complete ignorance about the MBA courses that the university offers. From my experience with the programme, there are two crucial points that I would like to mention about the MBA programme of the University
1) The MBA that the University offers is much beyond the conventional MBA programmes that are offered in any other business schools across India. Besides the usual electives on marketing, finance, infrastructure and trade, the University offers core courses on business sustainability, environment and energy mangement. The uniqueness of the programmes lies in the exhaustive course structure that are intended to groom the next generation business managers with a clear focus on green business and sustainability. At least, I have benefited a lot from the courses that I have done in the University.
2) Besides the regular university faculty and huge pool of experts from TERI, teachers are drawn from all works of life including research and industry both from within and outside the country in order to equip the students with a firm conceptual and practical grounding that is essential to face the challenges in the global arena.
