This is Farhan a B.Com student who aspires to go to an IIM!!:D:D:D
Hey,
I'm a B.tech 4th year student, and i'm looking to pursue my MBA at some point of time within the next 2 or 3 years from one of the top colleges in the country, so any help would be much appreciated 😃
I'm pretty much a newbie, a bachcha, no work experience, almost fresh outta college, and hoping to get placed somewhere decent so i can build up enough work experience which will give me a boost later on.
From what i understand, i have the chance to interact with some of the coolest, smartest and insanest minds ever, and i'd like to imbibe some of the coolness, smartness and much of the insanity
That's all for now,
Cheers \m/

hi everyone
As cat 2010 is just about to start.....here are a few tips for those who are appearing for it.....
the pattern of CAT changed last year so my calculations mite not give the real picture. Considering that there are only 60 questions its evident that u need to count more on accuracy than speed as was with earlier questions. it also means that u have lesser topics which you can leave out as every single mark will count.
another thing that u need to keep in mind the iims are managing the cat n not setting the paper themselves as used to be earlier. the paper would be set by prometric. this means that don't expect much variance in questions from day to day. also be thorough with previous years cat papers as minor tweaks would be done to those questions only by prometric. so really go through them very well.
:wow::wow::wow:
since its for 135 min and you have 60 questions, u can easily improve on ur accuracy. also be very well versed with the software and see how easily u can jump questions (i remember using the review button to jump directly to the DI section rather than pressing next). start with the section u feel most confident about. also need to know things as if u select an answer n later wish not to attempt that question then how to deselect the option (not many knew how to do it, if same software is used it is i guess done by double clicking the selected option). be aware as to how to highlight text in RC passages
speaking of RC, another important aspect u need to consider is reading from the screen. a lot of people will tell u but really it does make speed slower for DI n RC questions. so keep practicing from online available previous year CAT questions.
its time to bell the CAT! All the best!!
