Once u post, u have automatically subscribed this thread so u would get a email notification to the mail Id u have used during registration, use a mail ID which u regularly log in...

I am an MBA aspirant. Got 89.5 percentile in CAT last year and have 60.69 percent in Graduation.
I am going for an MBA for sure this year so really can't let this opportunity of my hands. Appearing for JMET the first time this year. Do suggest what other exams I should take up apart from CAT and JMET to increase my chances of getting admission to a good college or should I stay focussed on getting into an IIM or an IIT?

practice as much you can..solve 10 years paper of cat,and revise them atleast once...don't worry about mocks...this one month is very important...
for rc's, solve them daily,and do come on this thread and attempt them..

i am going to write cat in 2011. however i hav some queries. what diffrence wud it make doing mba after having some work experience with that of direct mba after b-tech in terms of pay package or the managerial position to whch u wud advance?
I'm Aditi, graduated in Eng. Lit. last year, worked for an online gaming business Games2win India for a year, and now I'm at home, preparing mainly for MICAT, and alongside, for CAT, XAT, SNAP and the likes.
OK so I took MICAT in march this year, and my take is that it's tougher than CAT in its present format.
Please note that the MICAT format changes without warning, but here's how it was in 2010.
The test was divided into three parts
Part 1 : Verbal, Quant, GK, Reasoning - 125 qns - 90 mins
Part 2 : Psychometric test -all qns compulsory(if u skip, ur application might be rejected) - 30 mins
Part 3 : 2 essays - 30 mins - around 4-5 sides each. 1 essay was about the women's bill, for the second, we had to narrate a story/incident based on an image.
From what I hear, a similar format was followed in 2009.
The Quant,Reasoning, Verbal is similar to CAT though there is a slighter greater focus on vocab - and you have to do a greater number of questions in lesser time.
GK is mainly imp general events and important developments in the Media industry.
