Education and Work Ex Background - MBA (2006 - 200. Around 26 months of experience.
Current Occupation - Working with TCS since June 2008.
Why on PG? - Looking the possibility of going for an Executive MBA, though this thought is at a very infant stage.
Specifically looking for what on PG? - Nothing specific.
Aim for next one year? - Looking into various options and evaluating the same to enhance my career.

hey all, i am Jay Thaker. A short intro about me would be -

Passionate about startups. Addicted to music. Brought up very well - thanks to my parents. In love, and loving it.

Have already got just over 5 years of good work experience in new-age companies like Directi.com & burrp.com. I'm currently trying to build something grounds up by joining a startup company as co-founder with a friend who was already at it. But now I'm considering adding some more mettle to my knowledgebase through a good MBA education - while continuing to build the startup.

It's going to be a very tough to juggle between both at the same time, but that's what makes it exciting. 😃

I am Anukool, i have heard a lot of praises about pagalguy, hence finally decided to be a member of this pool of extraordinary people..
I have a work experience of 28 months as if now , working in Accenture since past 2 years.
i am looking for an mba abroad ( US or singapore) , but i am concerned about the funding part. so looking for more knowledge about this and plenty other minute details .

This is my first post to community. To give brief intro -
Working for s/w company. 5 Years experience. Good acads and overseas experience. Would like to have advise from PG seniors.

Will it be good idea to prepare for a CAT or GMAT. I had prepared for CAT earlier and never completed and never appeared for it.

Currently, in dilemma over the same. Please advise.

Buddy,

I would suggest you to go for GMAT instead of CAT . Reason being the work ex and profile you have, GMAT will give you better opportunities in terms of colleges where you can apply.

Colleges like ISB in India and leading universities from abroad should be your target according to me.

Hi ...

This is Xavier ... I ve completed my BE (Mechanical) about a
yr back and i ve working in a PSU for abt an yr.
Now desperately want to do an MBA.
Already tried my hand at CAT 2008 got a miserable score ....
Now tryin CAT 2010 after a yr gap.. joined AIMCAT series.. and getting 95 ish scores.. but less in VA alone.. lookin to correct it before D day....
Let me see....

1st you analyse what you want...since you have a work experience,do you want to go for 2 year MBA or 1 year.....If you are looking for 1 year MBA then make you work experience a bit stronger 4-5 years...........
If looking for the full time 2 year MBA then you start preparing from now onwards......
