Hi there, I am Anirban Bose, another MBA aspirant among the millions. This website has been really helpful to me, so I would like to thanks everyone who ever has posted their views.
I would like to give some information about myself as well. I have done my graduation from IGNOU, well to be honest have given my finals now awaiting results which i think will be out by July this year. I have decided to try to CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP..etc this year to get enrolled in a good MBA college next year. I have also been working for past three and a half years while i was doing my graduation.
However I have a query whether I am eligible for MBA from reputed institutes since my graduation is via correspondence course.
If anyone can shed some light to it...I would be most thankful:)

Welcome to Pagalguy.

This article can help clear your doubts.

Unrecognized distance-education degree will make you ineligible for MBA, says AICTE | PaGaLGuY.com - India's biggest website for MBA in India, International MBA, CAT, XAT, SNAP, MAT

Read the second half of the article, Ignou has been mentioned. IGNOU is recognized by govt so i guess you are eligible.

Thanks Adi for ur reply...the article definately explains the situation lot better however I still feel that individual colleges must have their own rules..some might approve some might not...despite govt approval, for example I have check out website of quite a few B schools by now and some(SIBM-pune) directly states their that student graduating via part time or correspondence is not eligible for their program.:-(...
Anyway i can just hope other institute doesnt share the same view....

Greetings fellow Puys! (learned this term here )
This is Shashank here. I shall be graduating with a B.Tech in Electrical this year. I have no work ex.

Have targeted MICA & a few more institutes which provide a course in Communication Mgt. or Media Planning.

Appeared for CAT last year...but took it really casually & I realised it demands more dedication.

Currently I am practicing my sense of art through the means of illustrations and paper work.

I am here at PG to share sensible friendship with you all and ofcz to make use of the community content.

I am aiming to land up in some reputed Institute which provide the courses as above mentioned...MICA is my Dream!

And i have always believed
'IF YOU GOT THE KILLS, WHO CARES ABOUT THE SKILLS"

Looking forward for a healthy interaction.
Regards

Hi All,
Im Nitin Paul. Im from Hyderabad, but currently residing in Mangalore. I am a software engineer working for a reputed software firm since the past two years. After being in this field for this long, ive found out that management is my calling and what better way to make that come true than by graduating from a top notch management college?... so in my attempts at fullfilling my calling and to find out the current prevalent trends in the management industry, ive joined Pagal guy.

I had already given a futile attempt at CAT two years ago, but thats coz i lacked the calling and the zeal, but now its seriously high time I did something about it.

I hope interacting with all the aspirants on this forum will do me the good that I am looking for.
