I have applied with the DDs for MAY 2012 Diet and also for the membership and the books.

Hi,
Giving details about ACET is unethical and an offence (as per IAI norms).
Also, ACET questions are from a huge Database of questions, so who gets how many question on STAT/FAC can never be determined.Therefore, prepare for BOTH properly.
I can help you by giving these important tips :
-- If you worry about Stats, and will be giving ACET in the coming slot(may be in july or august), prepare first from HEAD FIRST -STATISTICS book, but do use the syllabus while running through the chapters as alll might not be required.
--But stats is just one Part, FAC is also important and has topics like Differentiation, Integration.
Best would be to
-start with HEAD FIRST-STATISTICS now itself
-apply on the very first day when subscriptions for ACET opens.
-prepare short revision notes(only formulae)
-DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MEMORIZE, that will be disastrous, and you'll bang your head during the exam day if you forget a formula:banghead: , instead learn how the formula got derived
-the books provided by IAI after subcribing for the exam are excellent to learn and to understand
I asked to prepare for STATISTICS first, because for FAC , you will get a link for video tutorials, that makes it easy to catch up on FAC really fast.

You need to register urself for acet(entrance exam for actuaries).
It started on 5th april...so u can register urself now..it will cost u 3k now.

1. Can we change the test center location after registering?
2. Is there any order in which we have to give the CT series tests(assuming I get through ACET)?
3. How many CT series tests can we give at a time?
4. I guess I can give these CT tests by November right?

2. You can choose any order but it is best if u follow in the order they r set...i.e. ct1,ct2,........ct8...
3. 3 ct papers at a time.

1) what is the exam pattern is it mcq(since its online) or semi online (as graph will be drawn according to questions)
2)is the material given by the institute enough for the the entire studies or do i have to refer some other books
