I have my joining on 22May at Mysore where there would be training for a period of 4 months. How is the accomodation & food at Mysore. I heard we will be staying in the Infy campus???if it's true then it wud be gr8. What about the accomodation after the training period. Can anyone shed some light on it. Also what all stuff do I need to carry there. How strenous is the training period??? And just 1 more ques. Is there a library in Infy campus- I m very fond of reading?

The training is pretty hectic, but fun too. There are fun activities for everybody over here. But alongwith, u have to be regular in training also. Infy does have a library but i think it is only for technical reference. If u have any other queries, u can shoot ur questions.
Hi frnds! three months back infosys gave an advertisement for the candidates who are working in some other field and want to join infosys as software engineer. I also applied for that and went through the written test and interview. The written test was on 16th April and my interview was on 17th April at infosys office, Hyderabad. I did very good at technial interview and finally HR took my interview. He asked about my preferred location and whether I'm willing to join as software engineer. He also asked some personal information and the body language of HR was indicating that I'm through. Since then I've not received any information from infosys. Can I get the status information directly from infosys by calling any number. Plz guide me.
For one and all See that is a very normal kind of thing especially with really big companies like infy etc. However, there is nothing to be afraid of. But if you are still afraid, I would suggest to you alll that the best way to deal with these kind of situations is to confront them. Contact the infy people, either by calling them up or mailing to their HR department and they will take care of the rest. TC and cheers

Which is better company among Infosys and Cognizant Technology Solutions to start my career as a fresher? I am from Electronics and Communication background with very superficial knowledge about programming languages and all those stuff necessary for software job. Please do support your replies with reasons as to why one would be better than the other. Also if possible do lemme know the latest salary packages each one of these giants offer to freshers.I have come to know that both the companies have rivived the salary package that they previously used to offer to entry level trainees.Can anyone tell me this in figures(not in an abstract way.)

Hi have patience Infy is well known for making people wait. God forbiddens even if u are rejected they will intimate u accordingly. Good Luck.
Hey frnds plz help me out i've given infosys test on 12th march and shortlisted we had intvs on same day. but it is b4 9 months,we were 53 shortlisted candidt, and nobody has got results till date is therene hope for me. do infy peaple r really very strict bout 9 months gap?????:confused:

Go for infy yaar...The training is one of the best. Since you dont have a cs background, you will become competative after the training.there isn't much of diff in the package between infy and cts(both comes to around 2lakhs/annum)

I would recommend you that you rather go to cognizant. Even though infy training is better but to work in a company you should be having some work which in infy, many dont have. Rest the call is yours.

komal...chill...i was in d same situation some days back...after 2 months they sent me confirmation...so if u haven't recieved n e letter till now...then probably u r lucky...coz that brightens up yr chances of gettin thro...

Infosys is recruiting a lot of software engg righrnow. I came here on 17 April, and after that two more batches have come. According to my information,Whether they select you or reject you, they will send you a mail.So dont worry, you will hear from them soon. If you have decent acads, and you performed well in the interview, your chances of selection are very high. S just wait for the good news to come.

There was a candidate in our batch who got selected, came here for training. His gap duration was just 2-3 days less than 9 months.He had even told the HR about this. Even then he was asked to leave.So be careful on this point.
