Onsite opportunities is more or less the same for any company. It depends on the project you are working on and your past performance but what is more important is the work environment when you are working offshore. Also i would never recommend joining Infosys in terms of salary hike. Accenture is 100 times better than Infosys in this regard. If salary matters to you go for Accenture

The guy was referring to the Infosys placement after MBA.
The graduation % in Mumbai and Pune uni is final year only. The class is reflected in the degree(only final year). So graduation marks are only final year marks as far as I think.
So marks scored during MBA and institute will decide the criteria here.

Unless specified specifically by Infosys, aggregate of all semesters/years will be counted for percentage calculation. There are different criteria counted in different universities across India, but Infy has only single criteria of calculation for all.

cannot be answered. as it depends on various factors. like how long you have been in infy? and which stream u have been trained. and what is the reason to break the bond?

See, I was myself working as a Consultant with one of the Consulting majors, and I was picked up from the campus too.
I did have some pre-MBA work ex though. So, they asked me some basic questions here and there and they asked me how MBA had helped me and what value addition it had done to me.
If you do not have knowledge on IT, you need not worry too much. In consulting, what matters the most is how presentable you are and whether you can speak up when needed or not. I have friends who are working as Consultants at Infy too and I think most of them are into ERP consulting.
Then there are other companies like KPMG, PWC, E&Y; which work on a little different spectrum of consulting assignments though.
Make sure you check their website to know the kind of work that the company undertakes. They do not expect you to know in and out, but you should not be totally unaware of what the Consultants do.
And, I have one suggestion to make here. If you know any of your immediate seniors in Infy, do speak to them so that you get an idea as to what kind of work you will be expected to do at this particular designation/profile. It is always a good idea to get a hint of projects that the company is working on at this time, as this shows the interviewer that you are genuinely interested in the job.

I heard that a few of my seniors, after getting the training completed, got offers from diffrnt companies like erricson and their packages were much higher than infosys.. infosys offered 3.25 while after 6 mnths of training they got 5 lacs and 6 lacs offers. I want to know how can we get such offers.? is it smthng thru NSR or we shud post our resume in the diffrent job portals or wat.????
Guys it wud be a great help if u let me know this..coz infy after training really will suck.. already am 1 year behind my fellow mates as infy gave me a joining date that was one year after my selection...
One more thing.. While being at Infy mysore, if i wish to go meet my fiancee in pune, by road(volvo), can i go out on friday evening and return on sunday evening.. is this possible..? because they allow till 11pm entry..but since saturday and sunday will be an off so can i go out like this.?
i wud have gone by flight but it wud be too costly so i can only afford one side fare of flights..
Ohh guys one more question.!! if i remain at infy after training and sign the one year bond.. after wat amount of time shud i expect a salary hike/promotion..?

There is nothing related with infy training and 5 or 6 lacs package in sony or some other company. Even without infy training u are offered the same. But yes, if you apply during/after infy training then you might get a preference, but nothing more. Coming to the question how to apply, it depends on your network. Also as you pointed out, you may chose to post your resume at diff job portals.

Yes you can. the journey hours by volvo is 12-15. However, i am afraid that, you may not be able to find it comfortable, also feasible, as you will have series of tests... But travel is not an issue if you are ready to take the pain..

It will be after your confirmation i.e. once you finish your bond period of 1 year.

Completed my infosys training in java stream last month and got posted in mysore(homeplace gujarat) in testing unit. Not happy and hence plan to leave. Could anyone suggest as to what i should do. I do not plan to pay the amount as it would be greater than 1 lakh. Does such a step result in a police case? Does the company blacklist you in nsr or only within the company?

Buddy you can find some person who is from chennai or karnataka side..and u can swap with him if he/she is from d same stream as yours (ie. java)
i mean to say watever location you want if you find someone in dat location who is not wanting it then u can exchange with him..
suppose u got banglore and another guy who belongs to karnataka got chandigarh..and if u people are both from java stream.. then u can apply to your HR for a swap..
