hi God....
Ip Division of evs is into "everything" about patents ...from drafting to filing to searches.
As for a fresher is concerned its a greatr DIFFERENT learning experience.

Thanks for the info Shaakaal (it appears as if i'm not the only one here with a weird username) Still, could anyone throw some light on the difference between the kind of work involved in IP and BR? Moreover, from the point of long term career prospects, which of the two fields is better, IP or BR? (keeping in mind that i'm an undergrad engineering student, but i'm still undecided about whether i should go for IP or BR. i hear IP is more technical than BR)

Dude it's more about hype and nothing inside, you should see the website of millipore corrrectly in INDIA they are a Joint venture of millipore corp and not Millipore corp, the policies and employee welfare is worst salary pathetic and pressure is 10e 20 times , unreasonable one man show . Offices especially the branch offices are below standard , but above all you can learn a lot there because you will have to so that you can speak to customers. Believe me it's a nightmare for sales and any work people are leaving in numbers.

does EVALUSERVE also take summer interns ?

I am a 3rd year Engineering student and looking for a 2 months summer internship. If any one can help get me some info regarding training, please do !

Thanks
Aayush

Can somebody enlighten the on-campus selection procedure of EVS ? paper pattern etc.....
I have heard that GD conducted during selection is a tough nut to crack( 3-4 out of 10-12 team)..is it true ?

Hi,

Currentlu i'm working with one of the top IT firms as a S/w developer.
I've done my B.Tech in Electronic & Comm. and i'm looking to swith over to
a businnes analyst kind of a job. Going forward i found about Evalueserve and would like to know what kind of guys there are looking to recruit.
I'm into my current job since 1 yr and lukin forward to switch in the end of this year. Any kind of help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey Praddy - did you happen to go to www.Evalueserve.com? If not, you should. In order to know what sort of skill sets does Evalueserve (EVS) hire - you should know what does Evalueserve do.

Other than that - good analytical skills, ability to work independently and under pressure are the prereq qualities if you are to work in Evalueserve. The other thing which I always look for people who I hire is an ability to communicate well, both in written and spoken word - if you have an addition language (international) it is an advantage as well.

H.

Hi Guys,
Thx for the informative views! I got an offer frm evalueserve -IPR Division@ Gurgaon & have a mind to accept the offer. Would be nice if anyone cud give pointers on renting an apartment closeby. Also on any other issues I shoud be aware of while relocating to / working at gurgaon.

Hi Guys!
As i reckoned its an amazing thread on EVS i figured i'll put in a doubt of mine to bounce of all you guys.
I am an mba from IInd tier college in Finance , & am currently working in risk advisory in a big 4, but i'm basically intrested in business advisory/ consulting work- i have an offer from EVS in BR of an analyst wid a 2 yr bond.. And now i'm slightly confused 'coz EVS is paying just 60% of my current pay.

Should i go ahead wid my current job or should i just chuck it 4 Business Research.?

And does BR in EVS has as much wide scope as the people there brag about... that one could join strategic consultancies & the like...
Would reallly value an insight..

Hi,

I have been working with EVS for the past few years now and it is a good place to start your career. But if you are working for the big 4 do not leave ur job. EVS is essentially research work - NOT consulting.

Plus the work culture in (particularly in some BR teams) is not good. to give you an example, Prasoon Sharma, one of the GMs in the BR team is really underhand and unethical in his behavior and can stoop to any level to trouble and bother his juniors .

I myself m really desperate on leaving the telecom team because of its poor work culture - hoping to find a new job soon (hopefully the big 4:)).

Hope this helps
