Charkha of Mahatma Gandhi that he used in Yerwada Jail during the Quit India Movement was auctioned in UK on 5 November 2013 for 1.1 crore rupees £110000 (1.1 crore rupees approximately) at London. The charkha of Mahatma Gandhi is about eight decades old. His last/final will was also auctioned over £20000 (19 lakh rupees approximately) for historical documents and artefacts by the Mullock's Auction house in Shropshire, England. The name of the buyer was kept secret by the buyer. The Charkha made by Indian teak was gifted by Mahatma Gandhi to Revd Floyd A Puffer, an American Free Methodist missionary in 1935. Whereas. His will was written at Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarati. The will succeeded the will dated 1921 that was sold at an earlier auction by Mullock's.
