hi i'm an IMT aspirant and have taken cat 2011. but as per my research even though IMT-n is seven year old , still it offers a highest pay package of 6-digit figure....which is not at par with IMT-G . i'm bogged down by this figure! is there any chance of increment of this in next couple of years?

Hey Dev,
Yeah you are right that the pay package of IMT-N is in the 6 - digits, but in the current year its expected to become a 7 digit one so the packages trend is a upward going one, so nothing to worry.

if i take admission this year i would be passing out in 2014. i hope at that time IMT-N will be giving a 7digit package.. also i want to know regardless of the 6 or 7 digit fact whether 100% of the students are placed or not?

We have instituted XAT and GMAT only from this year. CAT was the only scorecard accepted till last year. As far as percentile is concerned, initially whoever is not eligible for IMT Ghaziabad is considered for IMT Nagpur. As far as percentiles go we have several students clocking in at above 95%ile. But at IMT Nagpur we are focused on ethics, disposition and attitude to ensure a good cadre of students and good placements.
The fact of the matter is, once you enter a B School, no one asks for your competitive exam scores. Its your resume, your profile, academics, achievements and work experience that matters. It is these factors that determine your placement criteria. Other than that, the general disposition and attitude is considered to get students that are consistent with the overall philosophy of IMT.

last year 75-80 %tile people also got the call ..
may b thatz why from this year they started considering XAT & GMAT .
1st round cut off was 90 + %tile but at the end it went really low may be becoz most of them fill form jst for IMT G....but they give them a seat at IMT N.

i m expecting around 70-80% percentile in CAT!!!!!
my academic profile:
BTech-65% upto 6thsem(hope to improve this)no exp.
12th-82.6%(CBSE)
10th-78%(ICSE)
Winner and runner up in various robotics events at college level and in Dalaal Street event
Now the main question!!!!Can i expect a call at above profile and prcntle from IMT NAGPUR and IMT HYDERABAD??????????
And pls throw some light on the placements at both IMT NAGPUR and HYDERABAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Btech aggregate is 62%,no workexp,Preparing for Xat.What r chances fr imt-Nagpur
nikss Sayssir what should be the min percentile for fresher's to get call form nagpur or hyderabad.
Since the change has included the acceptance of XAT and GMAT scores, the new minimum percentile cut off is yet to be decided. But as i mentioned, the CAT score weightage has been reduced. We will be posting about minimum percentile cut offs as soon as a concrete decision is taken.

Your percentages has been good value addition to your resume with a decent score in engg you can very well manage that area.
Experience matters but its not the only criteria and I can assure you this. So at this juncture I recommend you to prepare well for your further processes regarding the admissions and hope to see you here at the campus!!

The percentages doesn't matter as much as matters your mind set and that is one of the things people look in a B-school grad. As we say, all you have to bring to an IMT Classroom is an Open Mind.
So, Prepare further and give your best.

First of all drop the 'Sir', don't you know knighthood is not prevalent in India!!
Jokes apart, the placement scene at IMT Nagpur is comparatively much better than the colleges who claim to e in the same league. Besides, now that we have been listed in the Premier League by AIMA, the placement scene is only going to be better and better.
As far as the companies visiting our campus is concerned, the placement for the current batch is in progress and a consolidated data can be presented once the process is completed, but as far as my personal views are concerned, its quite exciting!!
We will be happy to hear from you furthermore.

least %ile was 65%ile ......as such i know but that too was considered in the last cut-off for the interviews....
HR is being offered here....
highest package offered for 2012 batch is 9.6 lakh and average till now is somewhere around 6.5 lakh.....
