Ankit, any idea on the tentative date for commencement of Executive PGDM Class. Last year, it was in Sep. I couldn't find this on the website.

I have 5+ years of work experience and have got selected for the PGDM Program at IMT Nagpur. Is there a possibility of my application being considered for the Executive Program at IMT Ghaziabad/ Hyderabad?

Or should I apply separately for the executive program?

Ankit, Will the admission committee let us know whether our profile is shortlisted for interview or not? I have submitted my application. They asked me for GMAT score card. But since then I haven't get any response from them. Does that mean my profile is not selected?

Hi,I was just going through the profiles of students for 2013-2014 batch. What is the meaning of Specilization 1 and Specialization 2? Why has most of the students who chose IT as one specialization chose marketing as a second specialization? Is it that if no company comes for IT domain they can sit for companies with marketing domain

Nice to see such an active thread... a few 'to-the-point' questions.

a.) what is the minimum GMAT score that is acceptable by college?. My GMAT is 510. 5+ yrs of solid experience in IT companies, good academic profile otherwise (college-topper and x, xii as well among high 80s). Experience in service sector as well as product-side IT cmopanies....  So am asking if GMAT score will play a spoilsport here or not?

b.) What is the range (min, max) of GMAT in your present batch? not looking for avg GMAT... .min is more important here :).

c.) The latest updates in thread was around june... any new/latest update on placements?

Hi Guys,

Summarizing my GD/PI experience.It was at 1 pm ,13 Jul Sunday in the 2nd slot. Reached at 12.45 pm.Already 3 guys waiting.As 2 of them were from outstations so came early around 10.30 am. they had a chance to meet 1st slot's applicants. 3 out of 18 had turned up in the 1st slot. GD was about unemployment. whole gd-pi got completed within 40-45 min.

2 more joined us till 1.30 and so 6 out 18 turned up in our batch. it was an interesting mix of applicant. we shared lots of things about our lives. really enjoyed great discussions about various issues, while waiting for gd/pi. 2 guys came for document verification and interview panel arrived around 2.15 pm.

GD started within 5 min. Topic " since after 1989 India has seen the coalition govt and their record is very bad (corruption, policy inaction). so shall we move from the Westminster system to the presidential form of govt". It went really well. each one spoken for few min with good points. then told to summarize in 30 sec. also had to write our thought on paper within 5 min.

PI started soon after that. each interview done within 5-7 min. panel was really cool. ques asked were- tell abt yourself, why mba, why now. I was asked in particular that after being an engineer how i managed to work in financial markets across various companies and positions and what an mba can add to my profile. 

All were done till 3.30 pm.

So overall experience was good. fingers crossed
