no...if u hav 2-4 yrs of IT exp and want to move into IT......and also avg pkg is far btr than IMT
agreed. Why? Because of avg age of GL is far higher than IMT and therefore the IT cos pay more for more relevant experience 😃 1 Lakh per annum increase per year of relevant work-ex.
Essence is that For A lot of IT work-ex and sticking to IT - GL is good. no two minds about that - also, its a 1 year course so you get faster returns.
@aamirkanorwala I am only an applicant myself but i think u shud cuz i have about the same score as yours, i applied around the same time as u did and i'm already done with my GD/PI. It was on the 25th of feb. PS: Please check if u have submitted your XAT score in the online IMT Application form. Some of my friends forgot to and hence did not get a call.
@hgupta88 : I had my GDPI for N/H/D campuses in early february based on my CAT score which was a little on the lower side. After that , I have uploaded my GMAT score, which is my best score among the exams considered. Do I need to mail the admissions team saying that I prefer Ghaziabad campus as well or does the admissions team automatically consider everyone for Ghaziabad campus irrespective of the fact that their GDPI call was only for N/H/D campuses ?

Ya its true...only top 20% gets good placements say 9-10+...rest of the plcment are quite mediocre.....u can even see lower pkgs in the range of 4-5
@srinjoypan@sidmat if one can stay in top 10% in terms of cgpa in iiswbm (overall 2 yrs tuition fees 5.4 lacs), then he can easily get 7+ salary which is not the case with many well known b-schools that take from u 12+ lacs

Life is long and MBA is a 35 year old degree. Don't ruin lives by thinking so short term and going by rumours. would it be great if you are never able to shift your job or profile because you didnt go to the right college? ask anyone it happens.
