I am sorry to see that you guys are getting misled by someone who is masquerading as if from IMT. This person has created anew account and has made exactly 4 posts that too only on this thread. I had mentioned in my earlier posts that myself, @lohitgupta and @hgupta88 are the people handling the admission queries for IMT-G and that no other source of information is to be taken seriously unless we too approve of it.
We stand to gain nothing by defending IMT as our placements are in no way related to this work nor does it have a connection with the profile of the juniors. We are doing this work only to help you guys out, we have been there too last year and we know how exactly it feels being on the other sde.
Coming to the profile information quoted above which has sparked a debate, I will provide my profile details below, you can judge for yourselves after that. Finally for more information on the basis of which the final ranklist is prepared, please refer to my earlier posts in the first 2 pages. I had also mentioned there that there are many people in the range 90-93%ile in my batch.

UG - 74% (2 backlogs)
I belong to general quota, had no distinctions academically nor any other accomplishments. Besides IMT does not have a reservation policy, nor does it look into your quota at the time of admissions.
Work Ex- 38 Months - TCS
Extra Curriculars - Average (0 extras in college, a bit during school days)
CAT Score - 93.98 %ile
Regarding the work-ex part, most of my seniors are freshers while most of my batchmates have workex. As re-iterated in earlier posts, this fresher/workex ratio is not fixed and varies from year upon year depending on the market conditions and the industry's current requirements.

We have already discussed the cutoffs for IMT-Ghaziabad for various exams wrt last year's results (90 percentile for CAT and XAT and 650 for GMAT).
After this, it depends on your performance in GD-PI and overall profile. So if you think you will be getting scores above these in this year's examination, plz apply.
And adding to the facts, here's my profile -
10th - 87%
12th - 82%
UG - 72%
Work ex - 23 months (Consulting)
Some extra curriculars and good performance in GD and PI.
NOBODY can predict the mix of the batch for 2013-2015. - how much work ex is needed, etc. As is evident from the difference in the freshers to work-ex ratio for the last 2 years.
As for IMT's stature, you can check out the rankings for that. Then based on your options after the final results come out, choose what's best for you. Good luck :)
