Applying online is sufficient. Please make a note of your application number, registration details and the login credentials for future reference.

It happens if you reload or try to go back to previous page after making an kind of online payment. I too have applied for IMT and got a mail from their end too, after successful payment.
If you too got the online application detail mail , then your payment is successful . And Form number as well as password is mention in that mail.

@mbapagal , your acads look good. Last year cutoff for CAT/XAT was 90%ile to get a GD/PI call... If you are confident of getting more than 90%ile, then we recommend that you apply...

The exact ratio is not available but it varies from batch to batch depending on the industry requirements. For example, the 2012-2014 batch is mostly comprised of people with work ex whereas our seniors, the 2011-2013 batch have a greater number of freshers.

If you have made the payment online, no need to send any copy of the completed form.
If you are making the payment over DD, then you need to take a printout of the completed form and send it.

Last year cutoffs were 90%ile for both CAT and XAT. IMT issues calls to everyone who has met the cutoff and who had applied. We do not have the exact figure however.
With all due respect to the brand IMT, i am just curious to know how they are managing a batch strength of about 400+ students.
even Btech colleges dont have this much batch-size
Also, do Dual program students get the same preference during placements or any distinction is made.

In the sheet, you will be asked your preferences for the campus as well as the specialization. Based on the order of preferences that you have mentioned in the sheet as well as your ranking in the final ranklist, your specialization will be allotted to you.
You may or may not be asked by the panel concerning your specialization. This entirely depends on the panel.
But once you have been allotted your first preference, you cannot change it, hence please consider your options carefully. If suppose you are alloted your second preference, then based on waitlist movement, you MAY be upgraded to your first preference.
Just for information, there are 2 tracks in IB, IB-Marketing and IB-Finance. If you have IB as your preference, you will be asked to choose within these 2 sub preferences once you join the course.

IMT Marketing is famous because it has been the flagship course for a long time. However over the last few years, other courses like Finance, IB etc have also become popular. Thus it entirely depends on your interests on what do you actually want to do after your post-graduation. As I would have mentioned/re-iterated in my earlier posts, placements wise, no specialization is discriminated/projected separately.There have been instances of Finance companies recruiting for marketing, marketing companies recruiting for HR etc. It entirely depends on the recruiting company and its current requirements.
As an example, if you are inclined towards marketing, you can probably mention that as your first preference and then if you are really sure that you want to get into a marketing career, then you can choose IB as second preference and at the time of IB-specialization, you can choose IB-Marketing. Please treat this only as an example.
