This thread is for discussing the IMS Open simcat which would be taking place on 24th June,2012.
There was no thread on Simcat-1,because i guess most of the Simcat-takers would be joining from Open Simcat. From this thread we would be starting the threads for the upcoming Simcats this season.
I have added the poll regarding marks as we would get to know the marks as soon as we leave the exam hall as per my knowledge. (from the solution set they would provide)
Please post your scores after the exam, share your opinions, discuss your doubts and pave ways to help each other.

last 2 last year many people gave after registering at the centre as far i remember. I dont know about this year thou. please call up ims tommorrow morning or if centre is near your place then please take the pain of visiting the centre.

Just gave open simcat...
Screwd my sec 1 which is my strength.. wasted time on question which shouldnt be touched 😞 DI was quite tricky acc. to me.. and in VA was good.. Didnt crack one of the LR ... I dont know what happened... Overall a balanced test with tricky DI and some time consuming QA questions.. And one of the LR set which i found tough , the one which had 4 boys with thr marks given in an exam of 10 questions

The paper was of moderate difficulty level , just a notch above CAT difficulty . Any score of 110+ will fetch 99+ percentile.

Just appeared for Open Simcat..Quant was bit tricky..section I was quiet consuming too..havnt attempted much of DI..VA is good..and hoping a good score from LR ...lets see what will happen..

Section 1 was tough (good?) . The VA & RCs seemed of easy/moderate difficulty. LR was tough, but the case regarding Richie's robots had appeared in a previous Simcat. Repeaters with rigorous revision might've done well there.

The 1st section was quite tough...attempted arnd 16-17..
2nd sec was moderate to tough...LR was bit tricky...couldnt solve a set...attempted arnd 23-24...
OA i guess a score of 100+ should be sufficient enuf for a 99+ %ile...

Section 1 : Above average.

16 should be a very good attempt

6 questioins - Easy (Must be attempted )
5 - Average ( can be solved by applying the concept which is not directly stated. Eg: the question on 200 points connected by line is a complicated way of asking questions on common factors)
5 - Above Average ( Can be done if you start doing like the one on Geometry with lot of circles)


Section 2 : OK (Easy Verbal and doable LR)
LR was little tricky.

Overall : Above Average

Found it incredibly tough... :splat::splat:

Section II:

One LR set was too hard (Marks of 4 students), rest of them were do-able. :sneaky:
