GMAT 680(Q-49,V-34,AWA-4.5)
WE: 67 months by Fall10 in IT(Currently in US for last 2 years)
EC :Average.
Community Service: Couple of Hours.

I considered UIUC for long before i dropped it for small class size. It looks good for people aiming for consulting. Illinois Business Consulting club is trying to get activities going and curriculum as whole does support development of a career in consuting.
But a small class size was something which kept me away from it.
Tier 2 schools : umm.. a question worth asking but i doubt if there will be many who will answer it heads up. There are so many variables today that you can just hope. Come 2012 ..its booming Tier 2 wont matter that much but if the status quo is maintained ..can't really say. As for Tier 1, they are perennial.Their aura wont fade away,job or no job

Yup I agree with you bud.
However I believe the small class should not be an issue.

I guess most of you have reserved this tier 2 bschool for R-2.Think m being too optimistic here.
I am surprised that no one is apping to illinois.
I see two reasons here:
All my indian brothers n thier sisters:biggrin:
1. Have loads of money to pay the hefty tuition to harvards n sterns
2. Everybody has an exceptional profile n never even bother to look at tier 2 skools.

@iLive_GMAT: hey even im thinking to apply to UIUC...I guess ppl are a lil apprehensive in applying to tier 2 colleges especially in this grim economic situation...
