I am interested in 1 Year MBA...I have 7.5 years exp in telecom software. Presently working as a Technical Lead....I have international exp of 1.5 years....I read in some websites that in India IIM's generally look only for 700+ GMAT Candidates...My GMAT Score is little bit less than 700...Can i apply for IIMB EPGP?..How are the placements for 1 year EPGP?

Congrats on the posting the first message on EPGP VI aspirants thread 😃 Regarding your query on GMAT, the details on average/median/range of GMAT scores for IIMB EPGP is available in IIMB website. It may give an idea of where you stand. However, do note that GMAT score is just one criterion for selection (others being industry/functional background, quality of work experience, clarity of long term/short term goals, value which you can offer to the program, etc.).
IIMB's confidentiality policy prevents us from sharing placement related details in public forum without prior approval. However I could say that this has been one of the best years for EPGP placement. Get started early and good luck….

I currently work for an automotive gaint and my work exp is close to 10yrs, my Acads are X - 78 % XII - 80 % UG - BBA (Annamalai University Dist Edu agg - 60% 2008) I have done my Diploma and Masters both of which are not recognised by Govt of India as per AICTE norms 😠 and yet to take GMAT
I want to desparately do EPGP, my querry - would i be eligible to do Ex MBA?

IIM B requires around 7 years of work experience at the time of start of program. As yours is borderline case, please talk to admission committee and have this clarified. You may also consider applying to IIM Indore and Shillong ePGP.

Average GMAT score of IIM B is 670 which is on lower side as compared to IIM A (717). 7.5 years of experience is best suited for IIM B ePGP. You should prepare your application well and you will stand a good chance - IIM B puts lot of emphasis on quality of professional experience and diversity.

I have 6.8 yrs of work exp. from a reputed MNC in IT services. Having now taken a break from work after the birth of my child, I am planning to do full time executive MBA before joining the workforce. My question does the work experience eligibility strictly adhered to 7 yrs or is there a relaxation provided taking other criterias into consideration? can you throw some light on this?
IIMB usually follows the experience requirement strictly. You can write to the admissions office and confirm this. Also to clarify, 7 years of experience is needed as of Mar 31, 2014. You still have a year to catch up 0.2 yrs of work experience.

Your acad credentials, GMAT score and yrs of work experience look good. It so happens that significant portion of the applicant pool belong to the IT industry with Project/Program management background. Make your best case in the application and SOP to highlight how you stand out from the crowd. Good Luck!

Quantitatively your credentials (GMAT, yrs of exp, international exposure) - all look good. As with other profiles above, it's difficult to evaluate the qualititative aspects (quality of experience, accomplishments, long-term/short term goals, your clarity on how EPGP will help you achieve your goals, contributions towards social responsibility, etc.) without much details. Be creative and put your best efforts to present a compelling application and SOP. All the best!

Hi, Unfortunately I could not make to the open house held on the 18th in Bangalore. I do have a very important question ( most important at least for me). I have gone through the admission process of the epgp course according to which someone with minimum 5 years of work experience can apply. But there are certain other forums where it is being said that the minimum experience required is 7 years. Please advice as to which figure is correct. Also, if it is possible, can you please share what is the minimum work experience of someone in the current batch. Thanks!!
