Hi,

Just wanted to get opinions if IIMA PGPX suits for my profile.

10th/12th- 90%
Btech - Top 3 NIT CS (7 CGPA)
Age- 27
Work-ex (entrepreneurship only )

Co-founder of company A for 1.5 years (started in college so,overall 3 years)
Won national and international awards for innovation (for-profit social health/tech venture).For-profit Business model did not work out. Passed the know-how to another company in similar niche for negligible sum (kind of aqua-hire)

Started company 2 (3.5 years)

Internet healthcare venture. 1Cr+ bottomline currently but not able to take it to next level due to founders differences. (One even exited to raise Series A in same industry).

Want to improve my professional network (mainly for building team and raise serious capital etc) and improve profile.

My questions are
1)Is PGPX suitable for me (5-6 years of experience is on lower side)?
2)What are my chances (assuming 700ish GMAT) given my profile above?

Other details;
Course fees and opportunity cost are not big factors as the business is going-concern (almost auto-run mode)/I have 30L+ passive income from other online ventures. But,I have a strong feelings that I am not able to live up to my professional potential.

Any pointers on these questions would help.

Hi I have close to around six years of experience , no international experience and had appeared earlier in GMAt but scored around 650

Although I know a lot of factors would be considered before making any final decision still for a guy who has scored in 80s in 10 12 and Graduation with no special extra curricular achievement, what should be target score in GMAT?

Guys, ministry of finance has issued some amendments to the service tax notification for IIMs. Did IIMA share any update on whether the fees are getting revised for PGPX?

Spl Achievements: Few Scholar certificates of 11th, 12th. Few tech fest certificates in B,Tech. At work best employee, CII participation, 1 Paper presented

What are my chances and what GMAT score should I aim at to give me a fair chance?

Colleges Targetted: top 10 in India (IIMs, ISB, XLRI,) suggest other colleges if good.

2 YEAR GAP FOR PRE MEDICAL PREPARATION

BDS - 72%

6 years of healthcare experience (including clinical, managerial,  government experience.

extra curricular - published writer, translator (in panel of various newspapers)

GMAT - aiming 700- 720

positive aspect - Non IT, govt. experience, healthcare experience

negative - 2 year gap after 12th, rural background, not so known schools

How important is the Brand value of your current company/ organization to get  admissions to IIMA PGPX? Do students from Tier 2, Tier 3 Companies( typically not so well known) are recruited?

10th :74%,12th :68%,Btech: 75%.

5 yrs of exp  as of Aug16', I am pursuing Six Sigma certification and also NCFM too.

Hi all,

Need your guidance for applying to PGPX program

I have 5 years of work experience and currently working with one of the Big4 conuslting  firm (2.5 yrs) prior was working with Pwc (2.5 yrs).

I am a commerce graduate and post completing have completed following courses 

1. Certified forensic examiner

2. Certiified Information system audit (CISA) renowed course for system and IT audit 

I work in Risk consulting department and engaged in consulting for top companies in India as well as Global MNCs

I have GMAT score of 680 and am not sure whether this is enough to get call from the coveted institute

After spending 10 years in pure IT technical role and then 5 years in  techno-manager role, I have decided to pursue MBA (IIMA PGPX).

Total Experience : 15 Yrs

As Manager : 5 Yrs

Working with Fortune 500 since last 8 years

GMAT (3rd Attempt) : 730

PG (MCA) : 73%

BSC : 72%

XII : 67 %

X : 75%

Can someone please comment on profile/ especially I wanted to ask if my Experience is on higher side?

I am BE computer and working in field of networks from last 5 years and along with job I have my own start up firm from 3 last years which is registered and trademarked now. I am looking for management skills sets for my job and start up. Is IIMA PGPX worth for me ?

Hello Guys. I am planning to take the GMAT this July or August. Need your valuable advice/feedback for my overall profile. Acads: Xth (79.81) , XIIth (70.4) , B.E. Comp Science ( 74.81 , CGPA 8.41 , No backlog ) , PGDM Marketing Major & Finance Minor ( 69 % ) from TIER 2 College in Mumbai. Work Exp : 1. SBI LIFE INSURANCE - Business Development Manager ( Exp - 20 months )  & 2. HDFC Bank - Deputy Manager Sales ( 26 months ). Will join another organisation from this Month. Extra Curricular : Won various awards at school level which includes 2 times scholarship. Part of Placement and Student Cell at Graduate Level. Part of Placement Cell at PG level. Won various Business Quiz at PG level. Played Soccer at State level ( though no certificate ). Won GK quiz at various level. Associated with an NGO for the last 3 years which teaches kids of tribal area. Has been teaching for the last 6 years in different institutes ( basically Chemistry, but no certificate for the same). Regular Blood Donor. Age : 29 years. Has 2 year drop ( Between 2004-2005 & 2009-2010) Also all these years , I have studied in level 2 colleges. Now I want the second MBA only from a tier 1 college. KINDLY ADVISE.

hi can somebody tell me how most of the students are financing the 30 lakhs fees? scholar loan emi comes around 45k pm once we graduate . sounds like a good chunk even on a 20L CTC Guess most of the enrollees have worked abroad and are self funded ?
