got the offer letter from L today. the penchant for conciseness continues with a one page letter.. hey seniors where is the CD we were promised??
btw no confirm joining date mentioned either just that 2 week prepatory classes start on june 13..
so i am guessing i can chill out till july...

Hey Santosh,

cool down dear. There are many ppl I know who still haven't got the offer letter. And that includes me too. I guess we all should get it by the end of this week. Chillax till then .

Btw, I'll request all those who have got their letters to post any imp information which we should know. May be, one of you could scan the letter (afaik, the letter stretches to 2 pages only, so not much effort required) and post it on this thread.

Just wanted to know if there is anybody there who hasnt yet got the selection letter from IIM Lucknow??Coz it seems everybody has already got it and I still havent ,Also the last date for confirmation for Indore is near and I need the letter from lucknow desperately... :nervous:

Hi,

The offer letter does not seem to mention the exact joining date for those who do not wish to attend the remedial course. Does anybody know the exact date??
Also, the acceptance letter has a blank for Roll No. Is this is the same as our CAT id??

hey mike... a CD was supposed to be sent to all the fucchas this year by the student council.....frankly, i dunno :tellme: .....may be it will be sent to those who finally accept the offer.....tho the date of u ppl joining can be found out by the date os rems, but i think u will get all the details with the acceptance letter....m i rite folks????

About the letter.. there is no reason to get anxious.. you will
receive it pretty soon.. last year too there was some delay.. but
tats ok.. this year you will also receive a CD. ..giving you a sneak
preview of IIM Lucknow.. the campus life.. faculty..students
everything.

Well the CD is nothing but the IIM Video that was shot by the placement committee Have fun watching it !
No sweat even if you dont get it at all. It's a nice thing to have that's all. Also, the CD was meant for all those with final calls from IIM, Lucknow as per what the management had planned atleast.

The Roll Number asked in this form is your CAT Registration Number only. The Roll Number will be given after you join. So, till then you will be recognized by your TR (Test Registration Number) only.

Hi all,
Just wanted to know if there is still anybody from Bangalore ot elsewhere who has STILL not got the offer letter coz AGAIN i get the feeling that everybody has got it and i STILL havent.I have converted only Lucknow and Indore and the confirmation date fro Indore is as good as gone....This time im REALLY REALLY anxious..
Can any of the seniors help me out here by confrimaing from official records if I have actually made it??(The website does say that im through though)

Well, all of my friends have got their letters by now. But, the point to be noted is that all of them (and me) had our communication address in north india. The city in my mailing address was Faridabad and regarding my friends, one had specified Kanpur while others Allahabad. (I got to have a look of it only after my bro emailed a scanned copy ) May be the south indian junta have to wait a little for their letters.

Btw, how's the situation like in B'lore. We've got so many to-be-batchmates from this city. May be, they shud come up and keep us posted about their status. I get this feeling that there would be many b'loreans who r yet to receive their letters. Anyways, I don't think you need to worry much. Your letter must be in its way :).

P.S. @ santosh : In case (God forbid) you don't get ur letter, u can always confirm your result thru phone and send them a signed printout of the letter whose link comes up on the result's page.

Well last year, I was in Bangalore around this time too...and I remember getting it very late as well. A good two or three days after most other people getting theirs. But dont panic yet 😃 . If you know anyone else in Bangalore who have gotten their letters, arrange to get it xeroxed and send it in anyway by the deadline with your draft et al. Also, you can fax a letter to the chairman admissions or shoot him a mail telling him that you havent recieved your letter and that you have sent in a xerox.
These things happen and the admissions people are bound to know that postal hitches do occur !
