I dunno if this news is old. Jus wanna share it because i saw an Ad in The Hindu.

IIM Indore invites applications for its two year PGP in Management at Mumbai commencing September 2012.

Valid CAT2011 score is accepted.

For General cut off is 85 in both sections and 90 Overall.

for OBC-NC in 75 in both secitions and 80 Overall.

No application fees If valid CAT2011 score there.

Last date of application is Aug 22 2012.


Puys post more info if anyone knows about this.

I too, saw this ad today... News seems quite fresh as there is nothing about this on their site. Maybe by the evening they upload something about this.

But it is quite surprising. What's the catch here? don't know.

few days back there was application for RAK..and now mumbai

There was news like IIM Tiruchy's branch to come up in Chennai. May be in the similar lines IIM I might ve come up with this.

Notification is now on their website:- They could have directly said that this course is for revenue generating purpose and only riche-riches should apply. It is sad that the autonomy enjoyed by the IIMs is being misused in this way.

By going through the details of the course, it seems that IIM PGP degree is on sale if you can afford it.

- Fee is too high
- Non-residential course in mumbai
- Limited study material
- Weird selection criteria as usual

agree with u...15L just for the course...add to that the accommodation cost...that too they wont be providing...no mention of placement assistance.....looks really weird

They have mentioned everything but placement ! Does anybody have any idea about it ? Will it happen along with IIM I Batch? And how are the other courses like this one faring ? Like the IIM Trichy-Chennai one?

getting gmat applicant in pool, relaxing cut off to 90 % and campus in mumbai provide intuitions of course focused on more experienced pool of students. if you go through profiles tier 2 and 3 mba college placement record , you will know that getting placement in mumbai is compratevily easy than indore. Withh IIM brand they could do wonders. But at the end of day its iim indore. God knows only, what is in their mind. Worth trying but remain skeptical upto admission

@[359909:cynicall] Totally agree with u dude ..!!! !5 lacs n that too without any residential facility, limited material ...seems to be an entirely money churning scheme of the IIM'S ...!!!!


But one thing that comes to ma mind is that ....since IIM indore were having a tough time last year having their candidates placed (News articles kike IIM I tying up with placement agencies) ..they mite b shifting base to get more companies to visit .. nd in that case the people joining d PGP in mumbai will b totally cheated...dey will b paying more fees n still having pooled placements with the 500+ strength of IIM I.
Even IIM shillong is planning to collaborate with other MBA colleges in Kolkata for d same reason.

I have confirmed it from an IIM I student.. the placement of Mumbai batch and Indore batch will happen separately. And the placement reports will also be printed separately.
