when can we expect the interview short list?
What is the role.of distinction ...firstclass...secondclass ...dropdown in acedamic section .....although...the percentage is altready mentioned....does it effect shortlisting ....

Dear Aspirants,
All the best for your interview preparations. Reposting the EPGP IV and V interview experiences consolidated by one of the aspirants. Few pointers below:
1) Be very thorough about the details in your profile and SOP. Lot of questions will take lead from the data you've provided
2) Have convincing responses for reasons for MBA, long-term/short-term goals. Panelists will know they are subject to change, but will test your current clarity and conviction on the same.
3) Be prepared with a 30 second introduction (too long and too short are not recommended). In most cases, you may not be even asked to introduce yourselves. It may be straight to business.
4) Any offbeat topics (such as not-so-common hobbies) or achievements may attract some probing (mainly out of curiosity).
5) Go through the academic brochure on the website; specific knowledge about the program and institute may add value. For example, if you had written about entrepreneurial aspirations, knowledge and discussions abt NSRCEL may help.
6) Keep yourself abreast of some key current affairs - Indian and global - example - Syrian crisis (your POV on whether US should go to war or not); Food Security Bill, Current Account Deficit. What will be tested is your ability to take a view, think and convey your thoughts coherently.
7) Rehearse with friends or family.
8) Skype candidates - participate in the mock call which will be organized prior to the actual interview. Use the same laptop/tablet/headphones which you'll be using for the actual skype call. Those in US, be prepared for odd timings (not too odd - early in the morning or late in the evening).
9) Remember each panel will be different. There cannot be any silver bullet formula. Be prepared to adapt to the situation and be prepared to face different types. Some panels may be very relaxed and casual, while some may be like stress interviews. Control your emotions and project your professional best.
10) Dress to err on the side of caution. Formals with suit, tie and shoes are recommended for male candidates. Female candidates can choose between formal suit/pants or traditional wear such as saree/salwar. Display your best self. Be prepared for rain (umbrellas, etc.)
Finally, take it easy (despite all the pressure ). Getting selected to EPGP/IIMB is a great accomplishment, however remember it's also a number game - filtering and selecting a list of 60-75 candidates from a wider pool of well qualified professionals is by no means an easy task.

Just read on another MBA forum that IIM-B may be lagging behind in worldwide rankings but in the ranking based on Alum satisfaction it ranks somewhere within top 25. Its not a ranking comparison but an perspective on how alums feel on what they have gained from the program. Not sure if can provide the "Other Forum" name,PM me if you want the link 😃
Hey Puys, skype interviews will be conducted on the same dates given for Personal interviews or otherwise?
Assuming 1 week prior notice for interviews, 10 Days between App Submission and interview calls is a remarkable turnaround time.. I doubt any other college moves so fast 😃
While accessing IIM B EPGP application page, it shows " Access denied "...does any have idea why it does that...
Are we required to bring resume on the day of interview.....
@EPGP_IIMB considering the 'Access Denied' page, will we not have an access to our submitted application now?

Hi Friends, I have been shortlisted for IIM-B EPGP program 2015-2016. I have also been shortlisted for IIM-A and my interview is scheduled at Ahmedabad on 26/9/2014. Quite possibly my interview for EPGP may fall on 27/28 and that is where I am facing the dilemma.
My brother's marriage is scheduled on 27/9/2014. Is there any possibility that if I request the adcom now, they will adjust me in some other slot at some other place?
I request all the experienced puys to pore in there views and guidance.
