Hello, i am an IIMB EPGP 2015-16 aspirant. I have 6 years of work experience in power industry. My acads are: 10th (CBSE) : 80.8%, 12th(CBSE) : 79.2%, B.tech(NIT): 8.5 GPA. I will be writing my GMAT on 24th July. What minimum score should i target? Moreover, i have also started with writing application. Pls. help me understand what exactly IIM selectors look in for in an SoP & recommendation. What things to be highlighted. That will help a lot. Thanks.

I would like to clarify couple of issues:
1) In the Academics section, do we require to upload marksheets of both 11th and 12th class or only uploading of 12th class would be fine?
2) Regarding the references, do the referees get a pre-defined set of questions or a fixed format for writing the recommendations?

@EPGP_IIMB : As per the information provided on EPGP side, valid till 29th August 2014 can be used to apply to the program. If I take the GMAT exam on 29th August, it is possible to use that score as it will take at least 8 days for GMAC to report the actual score. Can we apply using the Unofficial score report?
Hi, I have a GMAT score 700, 8+ years of experience in IT, Xth - 82.8, XIIth 79.5%, BE - 80.8% (University 1st Rank), MTech. IIT Delhi- 7.87, But I do not have much international experience (Just 3 months). I have good Extracurricular, and awards. Can you weigh in my profile and guide on which points to stress upon.

I am an IT Engineer with 7 yrs of experience. I recently gave my GMAT and have scored a 680 (Quant:49, Verbal:33, IR - 2 ). I was planning to apply for IIM B EPGP programme. I have worked as a Software Test Engineer and am currently working as a Team Lead. I am not very satisfied with my score and would need inputs as to if the above score could be considered decent above with my current profile or should I plan to retake the GMAT (I gave my 1st attempt on 26th July, so I can only give my 2nd attempt between 27th-29th August from the perspective of IIM
B EPGP ).

Hi I have 8 years of work ex in an Indian automobile company. My GMAT is low @ 680. Planning a retake on 9th.
Want to have guidance on whom should I approach for recommendation. I can approach very senior people in my company, suppliers ex bosses. Pls guide.

10th - 86% , 12th - 87%, B.E. Mech Engg - 73% GMAT - 690 (Q48,V35) Worked at Accenture for almost 4 years as a Quality assurance engineer & Business Analyst for American and European MNC's. Worked in Helsinki at the client office to understand business requirements and ensure IT solutions provided met these expectations.
Started my own company in 2013. We design and install solar solutions for industries and institutional facilities with an aim to provide sustainable energy solutions that will reduce our country's dependence on fossil fuels. Turnover last financial year was around 1Cr.
I would like to continue my entrepreneurial journey after my MBA & put the learnings and network base at IIM B to good use.
Please guide me on how I should shape my SOP. Thanks!
