obc nc waitlist 27 for iift kolkata. what are the chances of conversion??
Guys. This is a serious issue. I've noticed that no senior is ready to respond to any of my questions regarding the college.
I contacted a Delhi student and a Kolkata student recently on LinkedIn. When I asked them about the college, the faculty and the placements, they constantly kept redirecting me to a senior that is handling the Whatsapp group. And when I asked about the placements, the Kolkata person sent me the Placement Report and said that's all I need to know for now.
IS THIS A JOKE?
Is there something they are hiding from us? Isn't a student supposed to form a complete picture of a college before taking a costly decision?
I request everyone to try and approach people other than the ...... admins and see if you can get any info.
Guys how will I know what my wait list number is and may I know the iift AO contact numbers
Can someone please tell if we have to write our iift registration no. on the acceptance letter or just fill in the information given in that letter .
I have been waitlisted for IIFT Calcutta campus and was asked to get a dd and send it to IIFT delhi along with the acceptance letter whcih was sent to me via email.I have noticed that I didn't have to mention my Roll number in the acceptance letter.Is there some other document I should attached or something I should do other than sending these two? Also since there is an acknowledgement slip along with the acceptance letter,should I send it as a registered post?
I've chosen not to go with IIFT K and so I felt it's my duty to inform others of what they might have to encounter. This is the information that was told to me by a college senior who recently left the college. Although she enjoyed her stay, she felt the following aspects should have been different.
1. IIFT Delhi students and student handling team is far more responsive and hospitable in comparison to IIFT K.
2. I'm told by a senior that the seniors will give you hell for the firt three months. You will also be asked not to interact with anyone other than the assigned members to keep certain facts about palcements from reaching the students.
3. Delhi students are preferred in some companies that pay really good stipend.
4. Placement committee of Delhi has a bigger say in matters that involve placements.
5. Though they claim to take a lot of courses, the academic seriousness is very low.
6. Also, there is no transparency in matters of election of Placement committee and other student bodies.
7. Student body leaders always prefer their friends. It's a double edged sword.
