Rohit Bengani and A. Aaditya, 2nd year PGDM students of IFIM Business School, emerged the winners of the All India Management Association (AIMA): 9th National Competition for Management Students (NCMS 2012), in the Southern Regional round.
The competition was intense, with 53 teams participating from the best B-Schools of Southern India, including the likes of ISB, XIME, NMIMS, Great Lakes, etc. While the IFIM team took the top honors, the second and third places were awarded to the teams from NMIMS, Bangalore and Great Lakes, Chennai respectively.
The contest was a 10 minute presentation by each team on their take on - “Unleashing innovation across value chain- A mantra for growth.” It was conducted to select the top 3 teams from the South zone for the National finals.

After the event, Rohit and Aditya, the team from IFIM said, “It feels good to beat the best in the business. We went with a refreshingly different approach, that was idea based and that impressed the jury. Now, we're keeping our fingers-crossed for the National round.”

The 9th NCMS 2012 was organized by AIMA in collaboration with NMIMS Bangalore, where the event took place. This is AIMA's flagship event for management students all over India.

The grand finale would be conducted on September 8th, at New Delhi, with 12 teams (3 from each of the 4 zones), competing for the top spot. The winning team would be awarded a handsome cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and the Best Budding Manager gets Rs.10,000 and also an industrial trip to China.
