ICICI Business Leadership Programme - Min 3 Yrs Work Ex Required

Puys-i would loook at this from a diff side.already 3 yrs gone 4 all of us..if we dnt make it this yr..getting into sm b-school with 4 yrs exp is very diff where in u gt 2 compete with ur juniors and luk at the pay also.take the case if we gonna join BIM this yr and after 5 yrs u ll b getting arnd 10L which is not g8 cos some of us would be making it 4m our current job after 2 yrs.and that too we cannot be sure that we will job offers 4m finance sector.

Am not skeptic about the job offer nor their specializtion...let it be anythn(could be because am more intrstd in getting in2 finance sector....)one thing that makes me worry is d degree from NIIT univ,ll it be worth after 3 yrs with icici.

but vinodhini if u work some where 4 3 yrs no body is going 2 ask ur degree as like our ssc marks now

Thanks dreamz, just wondering if they would tell that before the program starts. I guess if they dont tell in advance i dont see any point joining the program and later regretting the specialization/work which i am not interested in. Hope they clarify all such things while giving offer letter to ppl.

@ Vinodhini : I would like to mention here that if you are having, for example, more than 4 yrs of experience, u surely would not go to a B school which takes freshers too..... U would surely prefer B schools where minimum experience is the admission criteria.... There are always options available for senior guys too.... U have GMP program of XLRI, where u need atleast 5 yrs of exp.... u have ISB where minimum 2 years' experience is needed, but the average experience is always more than 5 years.... u have IIMs' PGPX course where the minimum exp needed is around 7 years & the average exp of admitting class is more than 10 years...... There are other examples too....

Also post-MBA, the B schools & also the employers take the prior experience of candidates into well consideration while offering both, post & salary...

NOTE : THESE ARE MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS & ARE NOT MEANT TO DEMOTIVATE ANYONE BY ANY WAY.

At the end of the day.....one has to honestly evaluate...If one has the ability to score well in GMAT/CAT and get an entry into ISB/XLRI...etc.

the risk also remains when one studies from ISB,XLRI ...etc...god knows...may b again u end up into ICICI Bank!!!!
as ICICI too recruits from ISB/IIMs , other premier B School... ::|:

Comparing the individual's abilities and the offer available one may/may-not think of joining NIIT university....in this case..

Its pure calculations on individual's end...considering that though less but the risk in the system remains even if its a premier B-school..

Guys I have not posted here anything to demotivate or dissuade anybody from choosing there career path. I'm just showing the darker side of this program or for that matter any of these kinds of programs offered by any companies as the companies are there to do business and not a favor to evrybody.

Some had a query about the salary: In the PO program they assured a package of min 3.5lacs at the start and when i received the offer letter after 1 yr the gross package was 3.54lacs. It included the annual performance bonus also! so in hand when i received my 1st salary it was 17.5k(deducting the loan installment,IT,P tax & PF)

About the profile and specialization: Place urself in the shoes of an HR manager of this company which has a workforce of around 45000 and around a hundred departments. here u take a batch of 120 people every six months. can u really foresee what would b the business environment and requirements after let alone 2 years, even six months and where should u place the people. here all the occupational personality questionnaire, past records, performance and everything goes for a toss. the HR will place u where the business requirement is thats it.
There were people at the po program who had specializations like trade finance and credit management but they ended up in retail branches after joining. similarly there were people who were given retail banking specialization but later absorbed into tech infra group!

Guys icici is a very dynamic organization and once u join it be ready for sudden unforseen changes...

Right now, two doubts:
1. What is this "tech infra group"?
2. How much will be the in-hand salary of the NIIT pass-outs?

Right now, two doubts:
1. What is this "tech infra group"?- Technical infrastructure group which supports the IT systems of the bank
2. How much will be the in-hand salary of the NIIT pass-outs?- Dont have a concrete idea but any M2 at icici now gets around 55-65k per month. people who may get M2 grades after passing out from this program may get a bit higher as the annual packages may vary between people who have attained M2 grade after promotions and people who directly are absorbed in that grade

just 55-65 K..................... ???? :wow::wow::wow:

few people from iim s are getting even less dan dat it all depends on how u perform

just 55-65 K..................... ???? :wow::wow::wow:

considering that they offer 15 lacs ctc out of which if say at max 30% is variable... and 10 lacs is fixed so at 10 lacs the pm salary wud b some where areound 70K per month

and rest god knows what are the different components in the 15 lacs salary break-up!!

Guys- also remember that 8K will be deducated for the loan EMI. So in hand will actually be lot less than 65K is what i assume....

I would like to thank all for putting there effort in getting information from various source .............. and also doing analysis ................. Job b4 Job..... Keep it up dude bcoz when result will come we will have very less time ....................

I gave my interview in Patna on 15th Feb. we were 5 candidates who gave the interview.
None of them are from ICICI.

Did u mean to say that there were only 5 candidates from PATNA or ur batch had only 5 candidates clearing the GD(may be out of 10 or more) ?

we were around 45 candidates, 20 cleared the 1st round and finally 5 cleared the GD round.
but interview was also held on 14th feb....

called ICICI HR ...they said merit list wud b out in last week...
also they are not sure if it wud be for April batch(120) or april + oct batch.

No clarity!
