Well Done and ATB.

Dear Axaanu,

Thanks 4 ur compliment.

I am average person but one advice I can give to all-Please dont panic watever happens. Even if u commit sum mistake , it can be rectified any time. You need to accept it dats all.

I was also in Kolkata Center & not sure about my performance in PI.GD was about your ability to express under stress , but agree you need to have good luck in those 20 min..

Dear Anxanu,

Its all about performance n luck.Like-
1-Wat we have done was our performance but they understood and gave us further chance, this was our luck.
2-You gave all answers clear and concise , was ur performance but interviewer satisfied this was your luck.

I will post my experience of interview after sometime.
I think for GD/PI there were limited (may be 6) centres. And if you check post from people the no. of people on 2nd and third day have been reduced to 40-50 on most of the centres like Pune, Hyd etc.

I know on day 1 there were 35-40 guyz for PI @ Del, but how do u know abt 2nd and 3rd day volumes? Did u ask from any of ur frnd/known who atnded it on 2nd and 3rd day a NBCC?

Just Guess...on the basis of first day...You are true on many other center no of people appeared for GP/PI was very less than expected. I think all India around 500 peoples called for PI.

Do you have any idea, how they arrived at final result? Is it like BMAT+ Case study +GD+PI+ Academics score ?

Dear Kalim,

My view is-
BMAT - for GD+Case round
Case + GD + Resume- For PI
PI(50%)+Resume(30%)+Academics(10%)+OPQ(10%)-Final selection

My take is if you have gud PI and gud resume , then you have very gud chance.

It can be anything. This is my view.

i saw the grades for GD... they were Communication - A, Case analysis- A, Overall - A... but screwed up PI... i have lost hopes guys..

i am Masters in Bio-chemistry... exp in mortgage banking and then in SCM... they asked me why i changed my track? did i get attracted to money? i said that i am frm a lower middle class family..so had to take up job and never looked back to go to research.. and they were sarcastic...

There is no point of being sceptical dude...U have performed exceptionally well in GD..i guess very few have got all As. As per my exp they were harassing and grilling those ppl more who had performed well in the Gd, i guess to check their ability to handle pressure. This will be a hectic, exhaustive and gruelling course. Moreover, the posting after that demands and requires you to handle excessive pressure along with effective performance and output.
So they have checked almost everyone on these parameters.

I did not check my rating in GD but as per other candidates mine was the best (rest i dont know) and they grilled me from all angles for almost 50 mins. They were not ready to accept anything right from the beginning. like why MBA, why not BBA-MBA than Btech-MBA...etc

Rest lets c what happens! ATB...

I had a really good GD, but screwed up royally in PI. Some how they only talked about finance. They did not allow me to talk about my accomplishments in IT. I tried to Mange somehow pull them into IT related questions. They did not ask me any OPQ related questions or anything on resume! can I assume that I have no chance at all ??. I dont think they read my supplementary form. I clearly mentioned IT was my first preference. It was a really stressful interview. Trust me! Only good thing is before ending my interview I spoke for 5 mins on how important this opportunity is for me and told them that I have the enough capability to adapt. I just wanted them to understand that I did not want to give up and consider this course & job opportunity are important for me because I honestly feel so!

Then why did they ask people from all backgrounds. And see oct trend most of the ppl are from non-banking background.
I guess u r being pessimist. I dont say that we all should be hopeful and start dreaming abt it but we should not think negative as well.....
we did what we could, rest they are the best judges...cheers!!!

Yes might be but they r asking very general questions

Like they asked me-
What is banking? Wat banks are doing?
My answer was- Banks are taking money from somebody who has more money and mobilise it to some where or some body who can give more intrest to them. This covers everything according to me.
They seriously laughed at it but amazingly no cross question or further question after this on this topic.

You are right banking is basically abt deposit and lending...as u said and rest other things bancassurance, third party income etc are newer aspects of it under universal banking system. They laughed to check ur firmness. They laughed at few of my answers as well though i was firm bcoz i knew i was right.

Kuch +ve bhi soch le hero!

Yes when they laughed I told them this is macroeconomic definition of banking.
