Hi,puys who have given GD/PI today can u plz share ur GD topics plz along with some interview questions?
Hi Puys,
Just got to know that we need to fill the supplementary form before appearing the GD and PI. Have you guys filled online and took printout or
just wrote in pen?
Hey guys,
Remember the following things, which are must:
1. Bring all the documents (originals) + 1 copy. They will keep that copy with them
2. Please complete OPQ test online. The link & explanation regarding the same is given in the mail which was sent declaring BMAT results. If u dont do that now, u will just wasting time doing it on GD/PI day.
3. Please complete supplementary information sheet. Dont write with pen. Complete it in soft form & take a print out. Also, please fill it before GD/PI day coz u would be writing the essays over there which would be evaluated & if u write them on GD/PI in hassle, the quality wont be good.
4. Please come with a tie, suits/blazers not required. I am telling this, coz most of the people come with tie and if u dont go with a tie, u will feel embarrassed & hence, may loose confidence.
5. Keep in mind that the process may take more than half of the day. So, come with some snacks/decent breakfast in the morning. Carry a water bottle with u.....
regards,
Rahul
Thanks Rahul,
U have been of gr8 help....

Ok, Rahul is one good guy in thhe forum. May ICICI select you for the leadership program. BTW, in the first point, you didn't say the attested copies, wil the unattested copies along with the originals be sufficient? And yes, I am bringing the joining letter and the latest salary slip for experience proof, they won't reject me for that right?:o

@Rahul- i am bringing exp letter of my previous company and joining letter of current org..will that suffice?
@ Gubbaara : Thanks buddy.... I am just doing wot i am supposed to do if i m on Pagalguy. Attested copies of all the academic docs are required along with originals..... Also, appointment/joining letter along with latest salary slip is perfectly fine to show experience in current company.
@Unarang: Buddy, please bring latest salary slip also of current company along with the documents mentioned by you in your post above.....
Hey guys, I gave the GD/PI today at Delhi (Asia Pacific Instt of Mgmnt). Here are some points and observations about the process:
- There were 130 candidates in total, each GD batch had 10 candidates.
- In GD, you are given 30 min to think on the case study and give a write up on it, after that 15 min are for discussion on the case study and then everyone is given 3-5 min to summarize his/her views.
- There was a 50% elimination in GD round, out of a batch of 10 candidate, 5 qualified for the PI
- The PI was mainly concentrated on your work ex and profile.
- If you don't have attested copies of the certificates, don't worry, you can self attest the documents, they will accept self attested doc.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Hey AB,
thnks 4 d onfo yaar.
Can please tell what was ur Case study topic..?
My case study topic was on selecting the best bidder among the 3 bids received who would turnaround a company which is almost bankrupt. The GD was simple, there is no such thing like those who speak less or more get rejected.
Just make sure whatever you say makes sense and you give proper reasoning and logic for whatever opinion or suggestion you give, that's it.
@A.B gud info and atb for ur results..can you share with us the usual questions asked in PI..was it based on supplementary part and in general questions like why mba, strengths weakeness kinds...and also people who are from non-banking background..any views will be appreciated as I have it 2mrw
Is there any word limit for the answers on Information sheet? Mine are already over 500 for both the questions.
@Gubbaara: Yes, as already informed by A.B., you would be given 30 min in total to read the case study, think about it & write down your points on the paper given. It would be clearly mentioned on the paper that the summary should be limited to certain number of words.... They will then take the paper from u & will start GD.... 30 min is actually more than enough time to read, think & write.. So dont worry..... U would be able to do it....
hi Rahul /AB,
as u said, we need to submit a write up. But while summarizing will we get that write up back or we will need to summarize it by memorising the points we wrote in the write up...?
pls guide....

Thanks. The PI questions were the typical MBA interview questions like,
Why MBA? Strengths and Weaknesses? Work Profile?
They didn't ask me anything from the Supplementary form, but they do look at the CV and where you have worked previously. They didnt ask me any questions related to Banking or Finance as I am not from that background.

If you are asking about the supplementary sheet questions, then there is no specified limit, but do try to limit the answer to the lines/space alloted for each question.
And as mentioned by Rahul, for the case study answers you will have to limit them to one page itself.
All the best all the puys having their GD/PI tomorrow.

Yes, you will get a copy of what you have summarised so that you can refer it during GD. You will also have a copy of the Case Study with you during the discussions for reference purpose. The other copy will be with the panel for evaluation. After the GD you will have to submit the case study as well as the copy of the summary.
@A.B can you tel us how long does GD n PI lasted for....
GD lasted for an hour. PI generally lasted 15-20 min.
I had my GD topic as financial planning, speak well speak regularly, give original points.
For me PI was general MBA types but it was stress interview.
All the best for results.
