As this is a MBA (Finance & Banking), what can an IT guy going to gain from this program? I am currently working in IT field. But little bit confused how this program going help me in achieve my goal. I am more or less interested in IT job.
It is mentioned on site "successfully completion of MBA (Finance & Banking) programme, students can be absorbed within the wholesale banking, global risk management and information technology functions of ICICI Bank."
What is mean of IT here? Please some one help me out.

You rightly said tht this MBA is not gonna help you...but mostly MBA is done to change career lane & get into managerial mode...this MBA will definately be Finance specific and will mainly deal with investments. portfolio management,etc. So if you wanna change your field thn this is the ideal opportunity, but if u wanna stick with IT thn i would suggest you look post graduation degree specific to ur domain

you could hv contacted the ICICI HR team...the phone numbers r mentioned in the earlier posts....bt as is pointed there hardly any one picks up the phone....so keep trying to fill up the form, and also you can mail thm regarding this and thn hope fr the best
P.S: even i tried opeing the application form after reading ur post bt its showing RUNTIME ERROR...i think they hv removed the form becaz of last date

Since in ad i have seen last date is 5th jan. so thr is still chance of applying here. earlier i thought i have lost it when i saw date as 1st jan..
My profile is:
10th (UP board) :72.00 %
12th (Up Board) :73.60 %. actually ealier there was a trend tht it was v difficult to get marks in HIndi medium UP BOard.. and 70+ was considred v good one. but unfortunately at national level thy dont consider this fact :(
Btech (HBTI kanpur_UPtech university : 72.16 % )
Work ex : IT- Wipro : 32 monts as of now

yes You told me the criteria. but don't see the intensity of mine to apply there.. And from a candidate point of view , I think nobody can miss any chance to get something better ASAP in this competitive world....
As sometimes if interview panel is impressed by candidate's abilities and they ignore 3-4 months exp...So why should not we give a chance to us..??

Everyone is going to be judged by his capabilities. Competition is not the word for capable. They make their way out of capability. And keep others posted also if you have applied so that even they can be aware and i would also come to know that i was wrong or not. Please do this favor.
Also would like to add that your profile is good. there is no problem with it. 70% is still considered good. most of the people fall in this range only. myself have scores levelling to yours. and yes you are rite that in hindi/state boards even getting 70% is a tough job. but at last watever scores are there they will be considered, no body bothers about hindi/state or other boards/ schools etc. If you clear criteria you are well into it. Then its upto you how you perform in other rounds.

I Understand ur point as u got rejected last time just on the basis of exp, so u r doing a gud job by guiding us.
But I want to mention one thing that yesterday I had talked one gal who is in May intake 2011 batch (who was having 28 months exp at the time of applying and she had convinced them in interview and she is in) . So i tried to apply at the last moment cz earlier i dint hv this info when i posted the query in PG...
Moreover due to Server issue i culdnt apply yesterday ...
Anyways, lets close this topic , utilise our energy in other useful work.
and get something v big what we all deserve.ATBGoodBye

finally you got my point. and if you have talked to someone you should have mentioned it earlier. i didnt knew that. i knew my rejection as well as if you go through this whole thread you will read that a person got rejected in interview. On the basis of these things i was saying that.
Anywaz as you said we shall stop discussing about it. And yes i also checked the link yesterday, it was not working at all. because you and charles were not able to apply.
One more thing which you said "lets utilise our enery into something else". thats also one more reason why i said that its no use to apply. because what happens is when you apply and anticipate that you will be called your attention would totally divert into this thing and you will not be able to concentrate on other things i.e work mainly. and when you come to know that your profile has not been selected you loose up a lot of time and energy unnecessarily. i lost that and i wanted others not to loose the same. and this is the prime reason.
anywaz keep the spirit high. think high go higher.... ATB
