Hi Puys, this year PO exam, candidates with marks 41.6 and above were declared pass and eligible for allottment. Can it go down still, if many people on the top skip their joining ???
Can anyone tell, when the results came out last year, what was the marks of the candidate, who was declared eligible for allotment, ???

Dear Friends yesterday I reported at Madurai Circle,my husband and myself stated from Thiruvananthapuram at 2 am (7-7-2014), by car and reached Madurai circle office of Canara Bank at 8:30 am from there I was asked to reach Madurai RSTC which is adjacent to Madurai Railway Station and I reached there at 9:10 am and at that time Clerk document verification was going on and at 10:15 we were asked to take our places in conference room and by 1:15 pm I was allotted to Canara Bank,Rajapalayam Branch and yesterday itself at 3:40 pm I reported at the allotted branch which have an annual tern over of 700 crore and I am very lucky to report before the AGM who is the highest ranked officer in that particular Branch.The AGM was very very very helpful in every manner contacted many sources and at last got a room in Rajapalayam Working Womens Hostel run by TN government.My husband and myself roamed the whole town and purchased all the necessary items for day today activites and I was asked to report at the branch at 9:40am.The branch have 28 staff with 9 Officers including me.

- The Union HRD ministry advised all states and UTs except J&K to include "third gender" children among socially and educationally backward classes for admission in educational institutions under the Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan scheme.
- India ranked at the 135th position out of 187 countries in the Human Development Index released by United Nations.
- India ranked at 132nd position in the Gender Development Index
- The number of Indians living below the Multidimensional Poverty Line is 55.30%.
- Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved new powers to SEBI to crack down on Ponzi schemes and other illegal deposit schemes like Chit Funds.
- Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) is building a gas pipeline between India and Pakistan. The proposed pipeline is likely to be completed in the next 1 year. India will be exporting LNG to Pakistan from Dahej in Gujarat using this pipeline.

- Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Reserve Bank of India signed an agreement enabling the RBI to access the Sri Lankan government securities market upto a maximum value of $500 million.
- Cabinet approved the increase in FDI limit in insurance to 49%, as proposed in the budget 2014-15. The government will introduce a bill in parliament in the current session for the same.
- 49% FDI will be permitted only in cases where management control remains with the Indian promoter.
- FDI upto 26% will be automatic and Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval will be required above that level.
- 49% will be the composite limit for FDI and FPI combined.

Incase a PO decides to quit his job from Canara Bank, either for higher studies or other jobs (ssc,upsc,state psc jobs) within probationary period,should he pay any penalty amount other than Rs.25K mentioned in order? Also clarify whether relieving process would be simple or complicated? Any other service conditions to get relieved from bank (notice period,salary etc.)? Seniors please guide..
