Guys....IBPS has published the merit list on its website. It is a proof of the cut throat competition in the recent years. I was quite baffled to see how can people who scored below 43.00 got
PNB, Bank of Baroda but my preference was PNB, BOB, BOI before UCO and I was not alloted any of the top preferences. Can any one explain me the reason?

post to show how ibps & goi is biased towards general category. this will also explain why difference in ibps vacancy and allotment list.
as per my info all seats in po 3 have been filled. except 543 hi vi oc seats.after doing simple maths i have found data which reveals many thing.
total seats including hi vi oc category wise
3208 sc 1827 st 5799 obc 10846 ur total 21680
actually alloted figures excluding hi vi oc
3183 sc 1824 st 5667 obc 9950 ur total 20624
21680-20624=1056=total number of hi vi oc vacancies.
hi vi oc seats are to be taken from each category in same ratio . however what ibps did illegally
25 sc 3 st 132 obc 896 ur
896/1056 seats were deducted from ur instead of 528/1056!!!!!!!!!!!!
thus ibps illegally converted (896-528) 368 ur seats into hi vi oc. ibps has destroyed carrer of 368 unreserved candidates. ideally no of allotments in ur should be 9950+368=10318.
as per govt rule pwd seats cannot be converted into normal category.thus 543 pwd seats will always lie vacant as no candidates are further available.
please share your comments on what you all think??

Guys, I have a query. If a bank does agree to give home postings, then do we have to show any proof of residence of our home state/city or can we directly give them the name of our preferred city/state. I am asking this because although my home state is Delhi, i have been residing in Mumbai since the last 5 to 6 years. So, my passport & aadhaar card have my address of Mumbai mentioned in them, also my PAN Card is registered in the Mumbai address. I also gave the IBPS exam from Mumbai. Regarding Delhi, I only have my driving license and a bank pass book (joint account with my father) which mentions my Delhi address. Will this be enough to convince the bank that my home state is Delhi ? I would really appreciate any suggestions/solutions.
Gone through the po merit list released by ibps. As far as i think the rule followed is:
1. A reserved category candidate, who scored more than general category cutoff (i.e. > 42.20 overall, >61 in written, >40 in interview) and fulfills respective age criteria, has been treated as UR candidate.
2. But when comes the preference of bank they are being treated as reserved category candidate (i.e. have to score just above their category cutoff to get bank of their choice in UR category itself).
Conclusions:
1. Some sort of injustice is being done with general category candidate while point no. 2 is being followed, which is not possible at all if there would be separate interviews/ selection process for each individual bank as there was the case before the advent of ibps. 😠
2. This will downgrade the quality of top psbs because low rankers are filling up the posts meant for meritorious candidates of unreserved category.😟
3. However, it would help the less preferred psbs to get some good scoring candidates.😃
4. And also, is desh mein general category candidate hona paap hai. 😠 @vicky_bit

My cutoff is 36.80 in OBC. Totally 241 candidates have been given provisional allotment in the same category with the same cutoff upto the d.o.b 01-07-1990. They have all been given Punjab and Sind Bank, Vijaya and Syndicate bank.
My dob is 05-09-1990 with 36.80 in the reserved list. Can anyone please tell me whether I will get allotment in the second list and if I get which bank will I be getting?
