Ibps po3 , clerk 3 and rrb discussion

Now i understand why our judicial system have such backlog of cases in Indian Judiciary System - Coz they entertain such baseless PIL & SPL(in SC). There must be a criterion for accepting such PIL in the system.

Hey Guys, I am not an aspirant of PO, but have been seeing yours posts on the wall. You guys are really worried, so thought of sharing some information that i read somewhere.

Clarification On Rumors Regarding Delay in IBPS PO III Result

Dear readers, some websites are spreading rumors that IBPS PO III result will be delayed due to some pending case in Jharkhand High Court. This is to inform you that these are just rumors and these website are spreading this kind of news just to bring traffic to their website. There is a case pending in Jharkhand High Court (Filing Number - 012010011992014 Case type -WRIT PETITIONS/0000220/2014), which was filed on 15-January-2014, but Bank of India is the respondent in this case and Not IBPS. This case pertains to rejection of OBC Candidates (carrying invalid OBC certificates) at interview stage. In all probability, it is going to be dismissed in the initial hearing only. As per our sources in IBPS, it is not going to impact the results of IBPS PO III recruitment process as the case is not directed towards IBPS. So, we request not to spread such rumors further.

You guys might know this info already, but just thought to share it. Pardon my ignorance if any .πŸ˜ƒ

All the puys, dont worry when the interview results will be declared, whenever they are declared it doesnt make much of a difference as the allotments are scheduled only in April 2014. Till then chill, even if we get results now it wont make much of a difference instead it will add to our anxiety. Check notification for that.

Can someone pls advise me on few things--

I am working in a software cmpany from 2.9 years.I have given bank PO this year.I have 92 marks and in all probability will clear interview.I am not able to decide if i should continue here in software or leave and join bank po.Can someone who is more experienced in banking or IT let me know pros and cons of both.

What i like about bank PO is that it is secure Job.Also i dont know why it is respected in family and at my hometown.
What i dislike is that it has 6 working days. And has a little slow growth.

What i like about my IT job is it is a little glamarous job.I get to work with good people and will be living in some metropolitan city with all facilities. Also here there is 5 working day culture. What i dislike here is in time going ahead i will be cutoff from my roots my hometown and relatives. Also there is a growing insecurity as we move up the ladder.

Please let me know ur views which can help me decide. Thanks

ublic sector banks have cumulatively lost a massive sum of Rs. 22,743 crore due to cheating and forgery in the last three years alone, HT has found through a right to information RTI) reply.

Indian Overseas Bank is the worst hit with a loss of Rs. 3,200 cores as against State Bank of India (SBI) which lost Rs. 2,712 crore. Between April 2010 and September 2013, the number of bankfraud cases has shown a slight decrease yearly but the amount ofmoney lost has been increasing year on year.

The number of fraud cases, for instance, came down to 2996 in April 2012 to March 13, from 3748 in April 2010 to March 2011, but the amount shot up to Rs. 10179.42 crore from Rs. 3275 crore.

The Reserve bank of India (RBI) issued detailed instructions to banks on July 2, 2012 containing details related to how banks should examine fraud cases and report them to CBI, the police and the special fraud investigation office (SFIO). Even after this, the money lost in fraud cases have increased.

Interestingly, by way of comparison, Indian Overseas Bank lost more to fraud than it earned in profits. It registered a net profit of 2848 crore between 2010 and 2013 but leaked Rs. 3200 crore for the same period.

For SBI, the blow was cushioned. It registered a profit of Rs. 39692 crore between April 2010 and September 2013. In the corresponding period, the bank lost Rs. 2712 crores to fraud.

As per the documents available, more than 6000 employees of different banks are under the scanner for involvement in these cases. These are not just lower or mid-level employees, but in some cases, CMDs and directors of different banks. For Instance, in May 2013, a CBI special judge convicted M Gopalakrishnan, former Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Indian Bank, Chennai as he had sanctioned credit facilities of huge amounts to a company without sufficient securities and also by surpassing the rules of the bank.

Analysis of cases investigated by the CBI reveal that bankers sometimes exceed their discretionary powers and give loans to unscrupulous borrowers on fake or forged documents. After getting the money, the borrower escapes causing huge loses to the banks.

While loans on forged documents are the main component of these losses, there are other reasons too. Ashvin Parekh, National Leader, Global financial services, EY, said, β€œThe increase in alternate channels including internet banking and even use of ATMs which has reduced as human interface with the customer and banks has led to an increase in fraudulent activities.”

β€œWe have already taken corrective measures to ensure preventive vigilance. Policy tightening is also being undertaken,” said M Narendra, Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Overseas Bank. He also added that adequate training is being provided to the staff and the bank is 'fine-tuning operations aspects'. Canara Bank, UCO Bank and United Bank did not respond despite numerous reminders.

A senior official at SBI said the amount is a cumulative one. β€œIn the last one year several stringent measures of checks and balances have been put in place and in the last one year the number of cases has substantially come down,” the official, who did not wish to be identified, said.
