hey guys this is the situation.....I had 7-8 Banks offer in IBPS 1....that is of BOI, PNB, Alahabad bank, IDBI etc...But at that time i also cleared GPSC & got offer job in State secretariate (that is equivalent to SSC ....OR for Gujaraties like me better than SSC as I will be posted in my state i.e Gandhinagar & even minister also can not transfer me out of Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad.) So i opted for that.....Here promotion chances are as bright af Banking & one can reach upto Joint secretary that is the post above the ranking of DM in terms of rank.....But Here there is govt. scheme of fix salary of 10000 for initial 5 years & then regular pay i.e of 31000 pm. The writ petition(PIL) against this scheme is pending in Supreme court & High court of gujarat strucked this scheme of govt. unconstitutional & repremanded govt. & told to pay all arrears of last services i.e almost 5-6000 crore burden.
Now question is I have again clered IBPS 3 but with low score this time (as was not targeting hard & had concentrated on UPSC & upcoming GPSC for Dy.DM) & It seems it will take some time to come to verdict in pending case & i have completed 1year here easyly as my job here is alot stress free & mild than Banking job( i also worked as RRB PO for 6 months in my state)......So What u say guys?
