This article is from the year 2011, when first IBPS PO/MT exam was conducted. Some might have read it at that time. The then director of IBPS, M Balachandran, says in an interview that banks will hire 7.5 lac candidates in the next 5 years. So we can safely assume that the vacancies this year will be around 20000. Of course the truth will be out soon.

I think IBPS will declare result well in time i.e. this month...this week or next week.
I gave and cleared last year clerk exam ( WORKING IN INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK SINCE JUNE 2013) .. Last year..last slot of clerk exam was on 30 dec 2012..and IBPS declared result within 12 days..i.e. on 12 jan. 2013...Clerical result would take more time that PO result...because in clerical IBPS has to prepare cateogory wise merit list for each and every state separately...whereas in case of PO ..Since it is an all india transfer liability post..so IBPS only prepare single merit list for each category..and not for each state..so here the work reduces..and chances of declaration of result in 3rd week or 4th week of NOV. increases..as given in PO advt..ALL THE BEST FOR ALL MY FRIEND...OM GANESHYA NAMYE.. As per IBPS PO 3 notification result come on 25 November when last paper would have been held at 27-10-2013. But as now due huge number of application they have to conduct exam on 9th and 10th November also so now its not possible to declare result still on same date. I think result will be declared on 10th December. I assume 29 days gap in result declaration after conducting last slot examination.
