yaar constitution says that the first 51% seats can be filled by any person irrespective of caste.... this 51% is available to all the citizen of india... and first these are filled......
after that the remaining 49% of total seats can only be filled by the reserved category viz SC, ST and OBC......

Suppose I am from SC cat and my overall rank is 300 But i filled PNB my first pref. No way I can get that bank if I would be considered in Gen cat. tab mujhe meri 2nd ya 3rd choice ka bank milega.aur suppose mai SC cat me toppers me hu, surely mujhe PNB milna chahiye meri pref k according.So why IBPS will treat me as general when i have applied as SC and getting my 1st preferred bank as SC topper in SC seat of that bank.
So its a lesson for those jo keh rhe hain ki 1st list will be comprising of gen sc st obc.Ye list jaroor ese banti ydi pref ka chakkar na hota. usme fir sbhi aate kyuki ultimately ek hi bank ki post milni thi.therefore, phle cat wise obc, sc, st ki merit bnani pdegi unko taki reserved candidates ki unki preferred choice mil ske.
After that the list of general candidates will be prepared which may include remaining top 11058 including all cat.

What abt decent banks where there is a high probability of posting in Punjab,Haryana,Chandigarh except PNB....??

but PNB has to fill the reserved seats also...
u will get PNG from ur quota as u r the topper...
CONSIDER THIS AND UR DOUBT WILL BE CLEAR..
suppose you have over all rank of 20 and category rank 1...
now u can get PNB by both these ranks.. ryt?
but now u will be allotted PNB on the basis of ur open rank and ur category rank will lapse.....
coz frst open seats will be filled and u will get seat on ur open rank..
here u can't say that i have a category rank of 1 so give me reserved seat...this can't be done......
i dnt know why guys are confused abt reservation , fundaa is very clear first 11058 seats are for all and will be filled by rank-wise irrespective of individual category and other no of seats which r mentioned in obc and sc ,st quotta , will be filled among them . that is why obc and st guys are getting reservation benefit otherwise no benefit. they can fight in both general pool if they have rank within 11058 or in their respective category ......
i thing case is clear........

Yup but we are asked pref so things will change a lot like
cat student UR rank 10 and 10 vacancies in PNB he will get that UR SEAT
cat student UR rank 10 and 10 vacancies in PNB he will get that UR SEAT
cat student UR rank 11 and 10 vacancies in pnb ur but 1 vacancy for his cat so he will GET CAT SEAT correct me if i am wrong
One of the sources said that final list will be made my using a formula
