Imaginary conversation between Rahul Gandhi and his girlfriend

This is what ensues while Rahul Gandhi introspects in his bathroom.

12 Tughlak Lane

"Open the door Rahul!"

"Hello darling. And again, no."

"What is this I'm reading in the papers? You have extended your leave? How long are you planning to stay in that damn bathroom?"

"What are the papers saying? Any more guesses on where I am? LOL. By the way darling I hope you haven't told mummy?"

"Stop LOLing me Rahul. I'm really pissed off. We could have actually been on vacation while you were officially on vacation. We could have been in Thailand - you know I love those foot massages. Even Uttarakhand would've been alright. Climbing a hill will be better than sitting outside your bathroom everyday."

"Are you mad darling? If I go to Uttarakhand they'll say why not Kanyakumari. If I go to Thailand it's not a happy ending for me either, in the press."

"But you promised me a vacation."

"Vacation is a state of mind darling."

"This is complete nonsense."

"You've got to stop using that phrase, love. It's catchy and you already got me into trouble when I used it in my ordinance speech."

"This is too much. Why not just leak it to the press that you are introspecting in your bathroom. At least it's a first. Then they won't be able to attack you on lack on original ideas at least."

"Are you crazy darling? Can you imagine the reaction of Subramanian Swamy? He's going to go to town suggesting there are Italian marble tiles in my Lutyens bathroom. The Kejriwal fellow is going to go berserk making snide ones on the water and electricity supply in my bathroom as compared to the whole of Delhi. And the press is going to launch an investigation into my laundry basket to check how many times I change my chaddis. And that Ramdev fellow... he's going to say I'm honeymooning in the bathtub."

"I still don't see the point of this bathroom."

"Well it's cool - has its advantages - I could catch a few winks while watching the Budget session live on my iPad without the cameras catching it. Plus I'm feeling quite chuffed with all the attention I'm getting, one chap even filed a PIL on my whereabouts, lulz. What are the chances in hell of getting so much attention without saying or doing anything."

"You know what - I think I may as well go on vacation - permanently - on my own and leave you to your unlimited supply of hot water, Wi-Fi and introspection."

"Darling... wait... darling..."

"Bye."

"Darling, please don't go, my news app tells me the cops are at the door."

Come on low scorer yu have to do it  :D

everybody predicting for ur, obc, sc, st.... are OH,HI,VI ka bhi thora bohut analysis kar do.... unlogo ko bhi tension hota hai...

Sometimes I fear of getting mingled with some friends because of job status. I fear what they would think as I am not working in a maharatna , as I am getting only one third of their salaries. Sometimes I fear of attending some big parties as I think I might be incongruous there or people may notice my clothes. I also fear that there might be dishes I have never seen before and it might drag me into an awkward situation if I don't know how to eat them in a proper manner. Sometimes I feel insecure if my girlfriend is talking to some really handsome and cool guy. Sometimes I feel awkward if someone is giving a gift which I think is out of my financial status and I feel doubtful if I could ever offer them such type of gifts. Sometimes I feel awkward talking to an IIT or IIM guy , I feel where do I stand in front of this guy. But......

I do mingle with these friends thinking not everybody can be in Maharatnas, I attend those parties thinking shamelessly that who has time to notice you and even if they notice you then what? Is your clothes or way of eating decide who you are? I also think how would you ever learn their ways. I don't get bother if my girlfriend is talking to some handsome guy. I think no one can love her the way I love her and if my love isn't that much strong to hold her against such pity issues, what good for this relationship is? I take gifts without any hesitation and think that its not the price that mater its the love they want to show and may be I can show my love with some creative ideas without violating my financial status. I don't fear now talking to any IIT or IIM guy as I think they are also human beings and they don't always live around with IITins . Life is all about facing your fears and overcoming it. Face it overcome it.

Well, last few days I did a lot of "research" about AO vs PO. I know peoples' sentiments are really fragile now and so at the outset my advance apologies to anyone who might get hurt. Since there are a few posts below regarding PO jobs being bad or not, I decided to share what I have seen so far.

So here is the thing, I have seen many POs (even SBI ones) wanting to shift to AO. Reasons: Good work-life balance and time to study for other higher exams.

On the other hand I haven't seen a single AO willing to shift to PO.

PO as a career is good, no doubt. But initial years are very difficult. Some POs even get hourly targets. Well, if you don't meet targets, they won't dismiss you from job because they can't. But your work report will have all these failed targets written and this will affect your promotions. So those who say there are quick promotions in PO are wrong. Yes, there are quick promotions but it depends on how you perform.

On the other hand, AOs don't have targets in initial years. Yes, you can go for marketing and bring business to your company and this will benefit you in performance linked incentives. But its not compulsory.

Pay of AO is higher (Basic 17240), PO is lower (Basic 14500). But PO perks are better like low interest loan rates, high rate of interest on Savings accounts. But then how does it matter as a 22-25 year old you aren't going to avail lot of loans. Again, banks often come up with low interest loan offers for PSU employees, so if you are an AO, you can avail these offers from banks.

Another major thing is posting. Lets face it- nobody wants rural posting. Those who say otherwise are lying or are stupid. In this case, AO wins the battle.Minimum semi-urban posting. No rural posting. But POs are sent to the remotest places even.

AOs barely have to sit beyond office hours, whereas POs are seen working till 9pm even!

POs have the risk of dealing with cash and money. Any mistake and you pay from your own pocket. AOs don't need to take any such tension.

Overall- if you are ambitious, have good marketing skills and good at handling people and don't want to shift to any other job, PO is the best.

If you want time for yourself, friends and family, and want to prepare for RBI, NABARD, SSC, UPSC, etc. while working and want to live a tension free life, AO is better.

I am a.......

Well in addition to what people already said below ::

I am in touch with some new bankers and to some who are retired at higher posts from a bank. Well to be true, I have found almost 9/10 young bank PO cursing the JOB. But again, when I talk with the old ones like AGM/DGM level, hardly find them cursing the job as a whole. Actually I have taken guidance, for my PO-IV interview preparations, from retired bank's AGM/DGM level old aged persons. The old ones are really knowledgeable in all aspects, and talking to them feels like the person has gained so much from their JOB. Not a single one ever told me don't go for a bank PO, but they only motivated me. Sharing their on JOB experiences, mostly GOOD ones. They used to say its a very prestigious JOB, at later age high profile people will come to know about you. You will have to deal with them almost on daily basis. After talking to them, it never felt like they are misguiding in any manner. Like many of you, I too feel so DE-motivated when I read experiences of new bankers. The hectic schedule, job burdens etc. etc. But when I think of the lifestyle, knowledge, family status of the retired bank officers, it tells some different story. I don't want to be in any sort of argument with anyone on this.

Above said is not my opinion ,but just my experience of several meetings with them. My opinion is, every Job has Good and something Bad too. "It's a question of attitude. If you really work at something you can do it up to a point. If you really work at being happy you can do it up to a point. But anything more than that you can't. Anything more than that is luck." All life demands struggle. It's up to you, what message you take!!! All the best!!

hey guys don't fell upset all low scorer are thinking that they will not select in the final list .....i was also thinking same but last year stats shows that this year cut off will be 46 to 47 because this time paper was not that much easy ......so my intusion is that we all low scorer can also get the final allotment.....so i wish all the guys for their good result......let us see on 1st april.....

if we get selected as PO...our designation will be assistant manager or probationary officers?

So if someone clears multiple exams, its a crime. Its an even more serious crime to list the pros and cons of different jobs. Apparently because some people have just one option in hand and can't stand seeing others having multiple options in their hands. I too had nothing in my hand last year, neither RRB, nor clerk nor PO, nor AO. Nothing, absolutely nothing. When I saw others cracking one exam after another I felt like a loser but I never cursed them or wished them bad. Instead I worked hard, burned the midnight oil, strived to be successful and finally I have had multiple successes in written exams this year. So this isbwhat i have learnt- when you aren't successful, people in today's competitive world actually like it (as it means one less competitor) and offer sympathies just for the sake of it. But when you are successful, people don't like it and try to bring you down.

yesterday here many people  talked about hard life of POs. They complained about tough targets. Can someone tell what are these targets people talk about ,what they have to achieve in those targets. As some of us are going to join this job in near future, so I just wanted to have an idea about this thing called 'targets'.

I feel lyk I hav been waiting fr ages nw.....every passing day seems lyk a year.....i am starting to hate ds ETERNAL wait now.....:-(

Number of candidates above 105.... Any predictions ???
