Mergers are always resented by High-ranking staff because they fear a loss in seniority. Scale 1 & 2, and SWOs constitute the majority of staff in any bank. And I'm quite sure that most of them had BOB in their first three preferences and Dena/Vijaya in the bottom 3. For most of them, it is an enhancement in stature and opportunities. And possibly emoluments too. BOB has the best promotional policies. With the right Educational Qualifications, a Clerk can become a Scale 1 Officer in 2 years.
So, in balance, the merger is in the best interests of the Dena/Vijaya staff. Even if you ignore the larger Public Interest of cutting losses and safeguarding public deposits in the PSBs.
To all those complaining regarding staff benefits after BOB VIJYA DENA merger, here is the recent circular issued in Dena bank regarding revised benefits after merger.

Hello Guys,
I know a guy who works as a clerk in BOI Katra Branch, J&K. He joined last year and he told me that as a clerk, he gets 33k salary inhand. He also mentioned that a PO gets around 65k.
But, everywhere else I've seen salary for clerk mentioned as around 20k and for PO, around 40k.
Could anyone please clarify? Because I don't think he had any reason to lie.
