Hi puys, I m from Sc category. ..It was my first attempt ..I got only 56.25 marks in mains. ......and I expected 13 marks in interview. .....please share your views regarding my final selection in ibps p.o......😊
FINAL cut off for UR: Ok so i have been reading here that some of the puys posted that cut off cannot be around 49-50 because then, a guy scoring 76 has no longer got a realistic chance of qualifying as no one scores 90 in interview. Therefore the cut off should be 47-48.
Man, this doesn't work like that. IBPS doesn't "call" you so that you must have a realistic chance for getting into the final list. What they do is arrange the marks obtained by all candidates in descending order and then starting from the top of that list they call (vacancy *3) times the number of candidates for interview. THAT is how that cut off is set i.e. the marks obtained by the last candidate called for interview and NOT by setting a mark that gives everyone a realistic chance for final selection. IBPS themselves doesn't know what the final cut off would be at that point.
HOWEVER, going by the trend of the past two years it can be seen that the written cut off *2/5 + 17 to 18 in interview is what the final cut off has turned out to be. So although this is no perfect method for calculation, it is most likely that the final cut off for UR will be 76*2/5= 30.4 + 17 =47.4 to 48. Again, cut off higher than that still remains a possibility.
91.50 GEN CAT MARKS I AM VERY TENSED ANY CHANCE OF MY SELECTION. MAXIMUM CANDIDATES GOT 95-100 OR MORE THAN 100 + MARKS AND WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL CUTOFF?
Go and watch ind vs sri game. Maybe even the pre game talk show. It's better than continuously thinking about cutoffs, interviews..........
Have a nice evening 😃
who will win today?
- tie
- india

guys this year i was preparing for banking only and i got just 96 marks (first attempt) but just to see how ssc exam is like i appeared for it and i cant believe i got 401 marks, though i didnt get selected but in cgl 2016 i'll give my 100% and i'm sure i can get 450.
My suggestion: those who have better speed and don't like higher level quant/reasoning should go for ssc. PO ka level bahut bhad gaya hai
My take on why cut off will not cross 48.2( I gave analysis yesterday)
- The main reason is that this time GEN candidates will be more in UR category as high sectional cut offs made sure that only few reserve candidates qualified as UR
- 2 tier process. again the reason is same. Even if reserved category guys scored above UR's sectional and overall cut off but qualified Pre only as a reserved candidate, they won't be allotted under UR (that's my take)
- and it is for these 2 reasons that the cut off went down even though almost everyone scored 90+
- both these things will instead cause reserved category cut offs to rise. This is definite.
- So chill guys. Khud apni mat faadho. 😁

Well friends was earlier afraid to post this but i think i should post this now. I am posting a link which even many would have seen earlier
http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2015-08-16/news/65525421_1_top-public-sector-banks-psu-.... Now comes the main points which i would like to convey.
1) the article says more than 39k employees to retire in this fiscal year of which some 19k are officers (mind it that this contains all sort of officers not just po). And they are of middle management level i.e scale 1 and scale 2 because scale 3 is known as senior branch manager.
2) Toady i had a brief talk regarding this with my senior BM ( i am working as a clerk in Allahabad bank in Bhinga, Shrawasti, UP). He said that in psb the ratio of po is more as he can work on any portfolio though in cases where specialization is needed the bank either recruit them through ibps/campus recruitment (if vacancies are known - before financial year starts) or by individual exams (as and when vacancies arise - during the financial year). If last year recruitment is taken for eg for 16721 po vacancies 3931 so where recruited through ibps. In short out of 19k termed in article 15k are for po.
3) in a banks scenario (as explained by my bm) suppose by end of mar 2015 Allahabad bank had reported 200 vacancies for po then 50% is filled by IBPS and 50% by departmental promotions. In IBPS usually the vacancies increase as if the bank is having growth registered and Mr Rakesh Sethi decides to open 20 more branches from apr 2015 then for 20 branches new vacancies are created that may be 20 (assuming 1 po req for 1 branch) therefore out of earlier 200 + 20 new = 220, 120 is filled through IBPS.
In short out of those 15k at least 8k or more are to be filled by IBPS ( puys its not going to be less than this.)
4) now every bank conducts departmental promotion exam usually in Apr - june months. and when ever they are not filled by Half yearly closing in Sep 30 these are forwarded to banks HR dept they communicate it to banks Board of Director They decide on those vacancy + any new addition on growth and communicate the same to IBPS by oct end. Now you will be able to analyze that IBPS already had its requirement even before mains was conducted.( Remember some banks are so huge enough like BoB, PNB, etc that they can not wait for IBPS process to get over thats why they have alternate channels like PGDF course) as direct campus recruitment for PO is having some legal hurdles.
Friends i posted this article for two things. First IBPS knows how much to recruit before mains itself they will unnecessarily have burden on them by calling 1:5 or 1:8 (Sidbi is doing early recruitment just for themselves thats why the have called in 1:8 ratio). Second as per article and my talks with Bm can assure you there are at least more than 10k vacancies.
Sorry for long post puys but kya kare ...I HATE TEARS ...PUSHPA. I dont want to predict cutoff because thats the work IBPS does not mine. I have to still work as a clerk for 6 months more to be elligible for dept promortion thats why giving po this time plus dept exams does not assure you to become a po. Enjoy life PUYS it has lot of opportunites.
It seems that this time OBC seats are less than previous year thats why cuttoff for general and OBC are same -- 76.... what do you all think puys..??
My frnd got 67.75 and belongs to sc category will she get chance.. interview avg
Puys, If anyone gets above the final cutoff, is it guaranteed that he will get PO job? or is there any further process...?? Since, this is my 1st attempt, so I am bit unsure about cut-offs, allocation processes. Kindly any1 clarify my doubt.
Score - 102.25 (GEN). Interview- Average, failed to give answers related to banking., otherwise ok. So what are my chances.??
SC category with 85.25 marks with avg interview?Any chance of getting BOB & PNB,as it is my top preference after EXIM and ECGC.
Any candidates face ibps po 4 interview in vizag.please share your interview marks. Please.....
times now copies my pg tagline ..."INDIA FIRST" .....!!
If candidates selected in SSC cgl interview post skip ibps po than the lower rank candidates will get the benefit?
Puys i have decided that i will target to achieve 10k karma points by 1st april ie the D Day of PO .....so pls like my comment ..the person who helps me most to reach 10k will get one apple straight from california 😋
with the aim to achieve my aim of 10k karma points ...i hv decided to invoke lord hanuman .....all those who like this post will become victories ie 100% selection nd those who ignore it will be flunked ...😝
ALMOST ALL BANKS INCLUDING BOI,UNION,ALLAHABAD,CENTRAL HAVE MADE HUGE LOSS.PROFIT OF SBI,PNB,CANARA HAVE REDUCED 60-70% SHOULD WE STILL BELIEVE THAT PSB JOB IS A SAFE JOB?
PS: I AM WITH 91.25 IN MAINS
