Alchemist by paulo coelho and The power of your subconcious mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy, ye wo kitabe hai jo ye btati hai ki positive soch rakhne se apke sath positive hone k chances badh jate hai, hum apni taraf good luck attract krte hai, to fir kya zarurat hai ki hum negetive soche, kyu na positive soche, ho skta hai kuch acha hi ho jaye..mujhe na likes chahiye na karma point..bus jo meri baat samajh rhe hai unse itna hi kehna hai ki apna khun mat jalao, ibps hum me se kisi ko define nhi krti, to thokar lagne k dar se apne aaj ko jeena mat bhulo. So this is my analysis -
Last year there were 49% UR seats , so that makes it 6615 seats
Around 18% people have marks above 98, that means around 7337 people.
From 6615 UR seats , 1000 seats will be taken by categories other than general as many among them have scored 90+
so 5615 seats for general
and around 7000 people fighting for it with marks above 98
so i think general students like me who have less than 100 have only 50-60% chance of making it, interview will play big role
i think general Cut off will be 50+
My written marks 98.50, i think i have only 55% chance of making it
I am very tensed as this is my last chance
Be sure to correct me
Hi Friends, i secured 82.75 General Categeory and my qualification is B.COM and MBA (Finance) with 6 Years Exp.They just asked about my exp.I answerd for some questions and some not.But through out the interview i have mantained my confidence and Eye contact. Is there any chance for Me?Please reply
Friends although those who have got 95 or more than it are anticipated to make a final cut but believe me with the experience that I had with last year po shows those who are in the bracket of 84-94 have pretty fair chances as well.I have seen candidates scoring 100 last year being ended up in reserve list candidates in 90's getting out and candidates scoring even 86 making a final cut.Interview is all together a different ball game, here panelists don't know your marks so all are at level playing field. Here more than anything else your confidence and the conviction with which you put your answers matters, nothing else.so just wait for 1 April and be optimist. And guys I am also a reserve list candidate from po 4.I scored 90 and was going through sleepless nights which many of you guys are might be going through but I had the pleasant surprise last year when I secured a place in reserve lislist, coz I never saw that coming even.I am with you all those who are +8 above the cut offs.just wait
-Jab Result nikla uske agle din se cutoff prediction chalu hogya.
- Uske Bad Sab apna Marks n Category batakar chances puchne lage.
-Uske Bad Konsa bank unhe milega yeh puchne laage.
-Hadd to tab hogai jab kuch candidates apna place of posting bhi puchne lage.
To Saalon aur kuch bacha he ya yeh bhi puchlo.
- Bank me koi mast colleague milegi kya?
- joining ke waqt konsa colour ka lucky Shirt/Baniyan/Underwear pehnu? etc -_-

hi all. i saw a thread on pg today n its mostly filled with negative remarks about po job but i was hoping to find happy stories after reading the topic title...."my life as a bank officer"
Many of them left IT jobs from mncs n after joining po they r complaining of hardships in bank. Around a lac hav joined banks as po's in last few years so im not sure if we can gauge life after joining by reading remarks of a few ppl.
Bcos if it was so bad there would be many many more complainers...N ppl who r happy have no or little reason n motivation to log on to pg and share their experience.
In any case i did feel a bit scared after reading that thread.
Anybody knows a better place to read balanced experiences after joining bank?
That evil n depressing thread link....http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/my-life-as-a-bank-officer-25064619

My first preference is Canara bank.. But in interview, a member asked me, "your first preference is Central Bank of India right?"
I said, "no sir, Canara bank.." He said, "Oh.." and few questions about Canara bank followed...
I think he did this deliberately to check my attentiveness.. Anybody else with a similar experience?
I scored 72. 75 CATEGORY OC.. Cut-off is 52. 50...interview above average.. Is there any chance of selection
