Bank PO vs Insurance AO dilemma. Many complain that growth is very slow in insurance( AO)
Insurance penetration(% of insurance premium wrt gdp) in india is 3.3% currently. India had insurance penetration of around 2% few years back. Global average is 6.3%. With india having one of the fastest growing financial sector and with recently introduced insurance reforms it is expected that it will touch global average in few years(which is very incredible 😃 ). While insurance density (ratio of premium to total population i.e per capita premium) is around $50(approx) which is very low but it will increase as with growing awareness of various insurance policy among people and various risks that are covered and introduction of some new risk coverage policies this is one of the most potential growing sectors of the future.Many more foreign insurers and reinsurers are setting foot on indian soil and increased FDI will see a strong pvt insurance sector in future.Now insurance sector there are a lot of retirements and shortage of middle mgmt staff with increasing branches and coverage( data above), the current slow promotion will definitly be fast tracked due to gap created and will see a growth that banking sector is currently seeing.Can be compared with banking sector of 90's and now the same growth will be in insurance sector in few years time.
In case of FD/ RD, Banks are giving low interest rate(around 7.5%) but Post Office is giving the same @8.4% .. Are both compound interest? Or is it simple interest for Post Office and compound interest for Banks ? I want open an FD and a RD. Where should I open it--Post Office or Bank?

one thing came to my mind.........just sharing............though overall cutoffs are same for both Gen and Obc..........but there is gud difference in sectional cutoffs .........which even high scorers in obc would not have cleared in one or more sections........which i think is benefit for general as less no of seats will be taken away by obc this yr compared to previous yrs...........and also since SC cutoff is 50.........so we can say that cutoff should be in the range 47-47.5........ and add to what i said above.........there was a difference of 4 marks in final cutoff between obc and gen which i think will be around 3-3.5 marks this yr........
so gen cutoff --47-47.5
and obc cutoff- 43.5-44.2
few questions pop up in mind definitely not relevant now as final result is not out yet but asking about cutoff and result date is quite a cliché.
if banks send for training, do they provide accommodation?? i have heard few banks directly send you to a branch(kind of on job training) in that case do they provide the same..if not do they arrange few days of stay(expenses by the bank) until one finds a place ??
This time ibps po interview shortlisted is 1:3 or 1:2 (unlike last time 2 written tests, is there a chance for 1:2)
