I had interview today in syndicate bank Bangalore........
First 5 minutes went well as told them all answers and about my job in Accenture.........but the next 2 minutes were horrible.......
Madam asked me why u did not mention work exp details in Application form .........i told mam i thought i need to produce an exp certificate thats why i have not mentioned but attached pay slip and joining letter .....please check ..it is there,,,,,,,,,,,,,she checked..........then said its fine but why u did not mention in application form...........then i told the same thing........then she told THEN WHAT u wanted to get job without telling this.......i told mam there is no other reason if that is the case........i would not attached here joining letter and pay slip of my work..............then she was not agreed and told u are working from dec 2013 and applying for ibps po also from that time.............u should have mentioned.......i told mam yes but i thought that it is not required for people who is still working...........then Sir told gud luck and all the best and my interview finished in 7-8 minutes.............WILL they fail me in interview ?? what do u think guys ? i was right in my place ..........i was honest to what i said..........and other gentleman also would have understood me........plz tell me what is the possibility of getting pass marks......as i am expecting min 95 to max 105 ?
Doubt - EXIM, IDBI, ECGC falls under which category......nationalized banks or public sector banks?

Today i had my interview....when i entered the room the female panelist was not looking at me..she was writing something on paper...i walked halfway still she didn't look up...but male panelists were looking at me so i wished them first and then mam...

entered the room after seeking and getting the permission, panel consisted of 5 members 1F and 4M, {female(the interviewer) had came out while the candidate before me having his interview to collect some yellow envelopes and some documents and she went back inside after 1 min,} she was busy with those envelopes and documents when i entered the room still I wished her first and other panelists afterwards, as they replied to me and asked me to sit(they all seemed to be in hurry as it was already 1700 Hrs & the female interviewer who can out of the room earlier asked the staff outside who were facilitating the interviews 'ke baaki sabka kitna baaki hai' & she came to know ke baaki sab panels mein 3-5 baaki the unke mein 8-9), now
M1(center sitting) : kya kiya hai aapne(looking and trying to find out my highest qualification in my documents)(as expected they didn't asked me introduce yourself)shortage of time
me: Sir, BSC non medical and after that mba marketing
M1: Is it like that Marketing is the relatively the easiest stream in mba, you know random sampling?( I replied yes) if I take 100 random MBA degree holders out of them 85-90 would be MBA marketing? WHY
Me: instead of speaking for all who do marketing mba I choose to answer why I did MBA in marketing and the M1 looked satisfied and happy with it.
M1: your favorite subject in MBA?
Me: with a smile Marketing.
M1: (while tryng to find himself from where I did it 'the place') askd me kahan se

M1: your parents were with you?
Me: no,
M1 : all the way from hayrana you went to kolkata?
Me: i told them that I got good college there so I decided to go there.
M2: accha ye advertisement marketing ka part hai?

M2: you must be knowing the brand colgate, its an old and household name to the extent that toothpastes are generally called 'colgate' yet they advertise for it , why?
Me: explained it with giving to main reasons i) competiton ii) re-enforcement and new available market and to maintain the market share.(he looked satisfied)
M3: he gave the example of bag pipper soda add and said here they are picturing something else and are marketing something else? which type of marketing is it?
Me: sir surrogate marketing (M2 in btwn said yes yes surrogate marketing)
M3: cn you give another example of it?

M3: if it is so is there any law looking after it?
Me: sorry sir I don't know.
M3: Wasn't it there in your curriculum?
Me: as far as i remember it wasnt.

M1: If we absorb you in our banking system how can you contribute?
Me: related my strengths and mba learnings with examples of my internship and gave an explanation.(all seemed happy with it)

M2: kitchen gardening or flowers?
Me: kitchen
M2 : Accha ye btao muli kaise ugaate hain?
Me: told him.

There were four male and one female. and most of the questions were asked by lady, and not all the penalist are asking the questions, just 2-3 are asking. and they were not asking any question related to our stream today. just the banking terms
M1: Introduce yourself...
Me: Told.
F1: About father's profession in detail..
Me: Told.
F1: What is CASA?
Me:Told.
F1: then she asked 3-4 four cross questions form CASA, as I explaind CASA in layman language...
Me: Answered all her questions. and she was satisfied with my answers.
M1: Bank lends to whom below base rate..?
Me: I said, I think to Bank's employee.. but they didn't say any thing.. (apart from prime customers).
M2: full form of CRR.
Me: Told.
M2: after 10 seconds pause, asked Define it..
Me: Defined but again in layman language..
That's all......
Overall it was good interview.. and It was my first bank interview..
So guys don't be tensed... All the members of panel are good.. so just prepare few banking terms.. That's all they are asking..

interview xp bob chanpur varanasi reached venue at 8 am. they were very friendly and cordial.( yaar mudde par aao.) M1- tell me about ur family, degree, place, and strength weakness. do not tell hobby. me- a aa e u a aa eu till now mam was busy chatting with her boyfriend. M1- 2 cross questions in between the answer. i told 1 weakness. he told me to add one more. M2- what is the difference btw bill of exchange and certificate of deposit. me- sir i only know about bill of exchange. told the definition. M2- money market instrument batao. me-answered. and then two cross question. who issue cp and t-bill. answered. M1- policy rate batao sare. me- answered. M2-crr ka objective kya hain. me- answerd, M1- what is negotiable instrument? me- answered M1- what is negotiabilty? me- aage jao. M2- negotiable instrument mainly kon log use karte hain. me- aage barho. M2- negotiable instrument me holder in due course kya hota hain. me- kuchh aur puchh le bhi. negotiable instrument ke alawa kuchh aur parh ke nahi aya kya. M2- achha aap hi bataye kya parh ke aye ho. me- sir basics of banking and... M2- banking me kya? me- sir like neft rtgs ... M1- achha neft se videsh me paisa bhej sakte hain? me- yes M1 achha uske liye kon sa code use hota hain. me- sir swift M1- swift ka full form jante. me- answered. M1- achha agar apke paas koi admi aye 15 lack ke loan ke liye agar bank me sirf 13 lack deposit hain to aap loan dege aur denge to kaise. me- sir no idea. M2 again(M1 ka chela)- achha agar aap ko bank manager bana diya jaye to app bank branch ka profit kase badayenge? me-( apna kaam banta to bhad me jaye bank.). answered well. ok. thank u. u can go now. there were 5 members. but only 2 were questing. baki tino shayad gunge (mayawo) the. they were not letting me complete any answer. if they think that i know the answer they throw next one while m answering. they were behaving like doing formality. because of that the atmosphere was very cool. all the candidates were reporting easy easy questions. so i fear that most people will get average marks. let see what happen. overall good experience.
